Well a three match ban for Zlatan.

The negative feeling from that news is overshadowed IMO by the positive news of Miki making a return.

He is a nightmare for opposing players and i'm looking forward to seeing him on the pitch again. A goal and an assist against Chelski helping a UTD win will be sweet :-)

I mentioned yesterday that if Ibra were to get banned then we may get a better idea of what we may look like next season and beyond with Martial - Rashford - Miki if Mourinho were to pick these 3. All 3 will need to perform for us to win at chelsea but if they do then we are capable. I also feel miki will operate better with better movement from the CF. Of course the mid-field 3 of Pogba - Herrera - Carrick will also need to be on top form but it could be the beginning of something.

Could be a blessing in disguise. Ibra has been very very wasteful this season.

Totally deserved the ban in my opinion. However great a footballer he is, taking his own retribution is unacceptable even if Mings shouldn't have been on the pitch.

But I agree, we will have him fresh for the Rostov games, he will get a break which I think he needs and it will give Rashford Martial and Mhiki the chance to shine. which I feel is a good thing.

It's good for him to get a well earned break. I think he has looked a little tired the last few games and the break will do no harm.

Also a chance for Rashford to seize his moment and bag a few goals.

People might also value ibra a little bit more. What if we don't score the goals when he is out of the team? We might very well score a lot. Either way it will be interesting.

I'm really excited to see martial, rash, miki and mata play at 10.

I agree angel. He will now play both euro games for sure which is s good thing imo and be fresh for the home tie.
Will rooney play in his place that is the burning question. Personally I hope it's Rashford playing up top but there is a school of thought it might be rooney which is not unreasonable. We will have to wait and see.
Jose might go for experience he usually does but the days of rooney striking feat into centre backs is long gone but u can see him playing the support striking role / 10. Either way is a chance for somebody to step up and score with every chance they get unlike the wasteful 26 goal top scoring forward in the country 😂.

The thing I don't want to happen Ken as well. It will create a false narrative if it's Rooney because he basically brings a lesser Zlatan to the role, Rashford would be something different so we have a better idea if the issue with our collective goalscoring is Zlatan related or not. It won't prove anything of course, but if it is Rooney then I fear we will be even more inept and it will strengthen the undroppableness of Zlatan.

I would much prefer Rashford. I think Rooney has proven over the last season or two especially when playing this season that he is just unable to offer what he used to and therefore not complementing the other players. Basically not contributing enough IMO.

I really hope Rashford gets the nod especially after Joses praise and saying he could be the man to lead the line after ibra is gone. Well no better time to show that than now.

Ken,

Love your last sentence, can't believe what I'm reading sometimes!
