Looks like De Gea is on his way to Madrid then, would everyone be happy if Oblak from Atletico is the replacement?

{Ed004's Note - I don't want him to leave but Oblak would be the best possible replacement. He's arguably in the top 3 GKs in the game right now}

Tbf romero hasn't let anyone down when he's played and presuming he sees us to the final and we win the europa league, i feel he's earnt the right to have the oppurtunity to be our full time number 1 if de gea leaves.

No way can we trust Romero for me DSG - he looks a real liability with the ball at his feet and in any instance other than instinct shot stopping, where he does very well like many keepers.

Decent #2, but any more than that and he will cost us important points I fear over the course of a season.

I like Oblak, wouldn't mind Butland if he has recovered well - I'd love us to have a real leader of men back there.

The problem with butland is he has not played for 18 months beast so it's too big a risk. I tend to agree on Romero he doesn't inspire confidence but has always done well when played tbf.
Oblak is a magnificent keeper there is little to choose between him and ddg imo.
He will be costly. Could we sign 2 players from AM? Surely they won't want to lose greizman and oblak to the same club.

I actually like Romero. He's not done anything wrong considering he only plays now and again. Goalkeepers usually improve after a run of games so it can be hard to give 100% when you're constantly in and out of the side. His distribution is actually unbelievable and works well initiating quick counter attacks.
