It's incredible how well Monaco and Benfica manage to unearth young talent. Monaco in particular, keep selling their best players and finding more talent every year.
So instead of buying all these overpriced players who don't seem to have respect for our club and our values, I would rather pay the Monaco scouts a shed load of money and ask them to work for us. And save hundreds of millions in the process.

Or maybe our own scouts do find the talent but the club is not willing to take the chance because we cannot wait for the talent to develop with the need to win now because of the fan base and need to win now because of the money involved with success. Football is business at all costs now, ruining the game we love. And if that is not the case and our scouts are poor fire the lot of em.

Even if our scouts did unearth these type of players, the selling club would double their asking price for us.

Our club does sign the young talent but we waste it by not playing them typically - nor should we in most cases - we shouldn't have signed them in the first place only to kill their talent.

Shaw, Rafael/ Fabio (my personal favourites who were held back for too long), Powell, Welbeck, Morrison, Pogba (rnd 1), Martial, Depay, Bebe (hah), Jones/ Smalling, Perreira, Januzaj, TFM - all of these in one way or another were signed or had immense talent but hardly played or played out of position. Had Ibra not been injured then you could easily throw Rashford on this list, let's see how often he plays next season!

With hind-sight it's easy to make excuses (X wasn't good enough), but that's only because they weren't played enough in many cases and so rotted to a degree.

I appreciate it's early days for a few of them and it's not all the clubs fault of course but how many games will youngsters play after we throw another £200m at our problem? Remember when lots of fans were raving about McNair, CBJ, Blackett, James, Wilson, etc who the hell are they people will ask in a few years?

We must be one of the largest spenders on "potential", we just no longer know how to get the best out of it or need to spend the time grooming it. So we should stop trying and just buy the finished product. Stop trying to compete where we no longer have the dominance to allow it or need to blood youth, let others do the blooding and we can do the pillaging!

Monaco needed to, their league isn't as competitive as ours, they also had big financial trouble.

Jose is clearly going to go this way, sacking off youth, it's what he does. I just hate how much potential has been ruined. Had we signed Dele Alli for £5m (we'd have paid £10m) 2 years ago, I bet none of us would remember him now because he will be on loan somewhere or in the U23's.
