Who would be peoples preferred choice of a new no.9?
It looks like Lukaku is off to Chelsea so if reports are to be believed, that leaves us linked to Morata, Belotti and Aubameyang.

I personally would like to see Belotti signed. From what I've seen of him, he reminds me a bit of Tevez. All be it bigger and better with his head. The price seems a bit steep in my opinion but think he would be a real nuisance for PL defenders.
The variety of goals he scored last season is impressive too. We've lacked a striker who can get his head on the ball from corners for a while. He also gets his shots off really quick.

Belotti seems like a Jose still player but me myself would go Aubameyang but probably wouldn't suit our style.

Aub will be Paris bound it seems which leaves realistically Morata and Belotti. I would have Morata all day long. Still young at 24 and has room to develop, has a winning mentality, would settle well with our spanish contingent, big and strong and I believe a fantastic player. people say he doesn't score enough however with 27 goals and 5 assists last season and 20 of his appearances coming from the bench, that's an impressive return. Belotti has done it all in one season and there's no doubting his talent however can that be consistent season after season? its an unknown for me and a risk at the quoted price.

I'm hoping the surprise signing Jose spoke of is Harry Kane.

The Dortmund lad looks quality but I am sure the Eds have said previously that there are issues with him which is why he has not moved before. Not sure he suits Jose
Lukaku looks like a young version of Drogba and if he can develop will be a major threat in the coming years. Needs some work though.
Belloti looks the all round best of the bunch. Skillful, good with his head and scoring in the Italian league where you would argue the best defenders are. Concern is how he adapts to premier league
Moratta, less celebrated but with Ronaldo as your focal point anyone else is in that team. Jose would know what he is getting from him, Conte liked him from Juventus days so can't be bad.
All I care about is that Jose gets the best one for the system he plans to play next year. Even the best can seem average if not suited!

Since I posted this, reports all over that Aubameyang has signed for PSG. That's him out the window then.

As I suggested yesterday, total wild card but if lukako goes to Chelsea what about Costa? Hate the guy but no one can deny his effectiveness. Still only 28 and remember Jose has already signed him once. Can't see him wanting to play 2nd fiddle to lukako and he can't go back to athletics.
We could do worse.

Allan head and heart say 2 different things when you talk about costa.

Realistically looks like Belotti or Morata both of whom would be a risk for different reasons despite both being good players.

Lewandowski would be the dream signing.

As an outsider what is the opinion on Icardi? He's an excellent finisher and all round forward who is able to play well in as a lone striker.
