Pardon my ignorance if this has already been asked and answered but are we looking to buy both Morata and Belotti?

Fergie always said you needed 4 strikers. In 2009 we had Yorke, cole, ole and teddy. In 2008 we had Ronaldo, Tevez, rooney and Saha in 1996 we had chocie mclair, cantona, cole and ole.

It is a squad game. We will have loads of games next season between the cups, league and CL. We created loads of chances last season, we just missed most of them. If we have prolific strikers with different characteristics allied to the young guns so we have fresh legs and tactical options, surely that's a good thing.

I accept there are other areas we need to strengthen such as RB, LB, DM and RW. But in Jose I trust.

You need 4 strikers if you play with 2 strikers up front.

Under jose we've played with two strikers for a total of 17 minutes against leicester away then he reverted back to one up top.

Unless rashford and martial are going to play the majority of the season at RW and LW respectively, it would be pretty ridiculous to splash out on both morata and belotti.

Rooney, ronaldo and tevez worked well up front interchanging position. Did we only play with one up front because we did not have the personnel to do anything else?

Ultimately it is joses job that's on the line so let's se what he does. Maybe bellotti will play up front with morata behind.

Morata often played off the main striker or out wide as part of a three at juve.
Tactical flexibility is a must in my view. And let's be honest it is all paper talk at this juncture none of us known if we want two or one. Time will tell.

Dsg is correct when teams play one upfront then they don't need four strikers it would condemn atleast two to be bit part players unless martial and rashford are seen as wingers and no longer central strikers . If utd signed two central strikers then we would hardly ever see rashford or martial as central strikers which would be a shame as though they can be inconsistent they both have bags of potential.

Bags of potential will not score goals. We need proven quality. Bring both strikers in and Rashford and martial will still get loads of game time. We have to play more aggressively next year. Parking the bus has to stop and it will.

I'm all for us being more attacking next season but JM does not deploy 2 central strikers we will play 433 or 4231 either way one central striker if we buy both morata and belotti we will end up with either an expensive sub or yet another player playing wide even though it's not there best position joining Mata, miki and others I'd rather buy one central striker and an attacking wide player who will be playing in his natural preferred Position.
