Hoping the Morata deal comes off exceptional player.

Define exceptional.

{Ed007's Note - Rooneyesque?}

If Morata comes to Man Utd I'll support him, I would not however describe him as exceptional. 188 games 58 goals since his first season of top level club football in the 2010/ 11 season. His six/ seven years of top level football suggest his not a 20 league goals a year player but it's a team game and Jose must want him for a reason. To put some perspective on it as a lot of people feel Morata is top quality and to highlight how lucky England are to have him. Harry Kane in 88 club appearances has scored 63 goals.

rewz while i am not the biggest fan of morata, one of the biggest reasons for poor nos is the fact that he does not start many games, i think he can be good if given a consistent run in the team, he was the second highest scorer for madrid after ronaldo despite having lower starts than likes of benzema.

Bond. Would that be the Rooney of today or 10 years ago. Morata is nowhere near as good as the Rooney of yesteryear, despite what some on here would have you believe.

{Ed007's Note - You wanted the definition of exceptional ;)

CS Moyes, people keep bringing up that he doesn't start many games. When he was at Juve for 2 seasons he played 46 games in his first season and 47 in his second season starting most of those games in 93 games he scored 27 goals in all competitions.

I'm not saying he's not a good player, I'm just saying he doesn't have a history of being prolific. When you consider goals have been our problem this season is Morata the answer?

Rewz; in his first season with Juventus he started 11 league games and in his second he started 16 league games. He also had to play second fiddle to Tevez and Dybala (who, for what it's worth, I'd much rather we splashed the cash on if it was in any way possible) respectively. In spite of this; he managed 15 league goals across both seasons.

In a different league, acting as the focal point of a team playing to his strengths - I could see him scoring plenty of goals for us next season. Given our interest, I would imagine that Jose envisages us playing a style of football that will suit him.

I wouldn't go as far as to say that he will be an exceptional signing by any means (although it's possible he could be) - but on the other hand I think that he's a much better player than his stats would suggest and believe he has the attributes to do a very good job for us if properly utilized.

Now now red seven down with that sort of thing. that sort of positivity is pure madness. Its much easier to pick holes in a player before he has kicked a ball for us. he hasn't even signed a deal yet and he is not good enough.

Hey Redseven, I wasn't aware that he played such a bit part at Juve. Jose knows what he's doing and knows the player so I'm sure it will be a good signing if it comes off.
