as much as lindelof, matic/ dier/ fabinho, perisic and morata might improve us does anybody else feel this isn't enough for united to challenge next season? good signings but still a forward short and the jury is out on perisic.

I think out of that group Lindelof will improve is the most. I'm not convinced at all by Morata.

I will add that we lack that touch of genius, whilst Morata looks a strong player I have a feeling we need something else in attack. I said a week or two ago I liked the look of Belotti but also feel we would benefit from a Bale or Neymar type as well. Rooney, Ibra will not be the right options or not be there which leaves us more than one light in attack at a time when our goal scoring was poor last season.

Wow. I would be delighted by those 4 to be honest. I di think we need a lb.
Redman i agree with you there is no real flair player and i think greizman was that man. Bale would be awesome or kroos or veratti.
I know people will shoot me down but i'd love to have a player like fabregas in the squad. I know he can be a bit of a person but he is still one of the best passers of a ball in europe.

No faith in Morata. There's a reason no team is desperate to keep him, and we'll never compete with Europe's best if we take players who aren't good enough for those squads.

Beyond the absurd price, is that we'd be helping Madrid sign the player we should actually be breaking the bank for. Mbappe. Or god forbid, DDG.

Frankly, the only madrid players that i'd be enthusiastic about signing would be Bale, Kroos or Varane. Morata or James would be errors IMO.

I agree redman. A really flair player. We need someone who gets you off your feet with a moment of genius. Pogba and mhki are capable. But someone to frighten the opposition whenever they're on the ball. Think hazard for Chelsea, Couts and Mane for Liverpool, Sanchez at Arsenal, Greizzman, Mbappe, Bale, Neymar. I think Tottenham lack this kind of player aswell as ourselves.

Great post stands united we are so lacking that special player to me bale but Sanchez hazard and the like are game changers who would take teams like us from okay to great . I don't get the excitement for matic morata or peresic, we are man utd and should be able to get better.

Bryan Robson already mentioned we lack flair players and to he honest, we've all been saying it.
This is why I hate the fact city have de bruyne Silva Jesus sterling Bernardo Silva Aguero and we seem to be going for big hard players.

Miki and martial are flair players but they spend too much time playing too deep to show it where it matters. Hopefully we play a 433 or some formation with 2 up top and ditch playing 2 holding midfielders. We have lots of players more than capable of great football if allowed to play that way.
