Two questions for you all:

1) Why do you care how much we spend on any given player?
2) How many have seen Fabinho play more than twice? Do you just like him because his name is Fabinho and not Matic?

I don't think people do care how much a player costs, generally speaking. There are of course exceptions, Morata being one of them.

So they do care then wazza 😂.

There is a finite budget, it matters how it is spent as we have a lot of areas of the team to improve. Surely you must have seen in recent years how much we have overspent on players, paying a 25-50% premium - this happens for many reasons, but one of the key ones is that we are known to be happy to spend big to send out a message that we are still a big player.

So it matters a lot, if we continue to overspend we will continue to get less for our money and if we keep on buying 'almost' players when our rivals are buying World Class players for less or the same money, then again it matters a great deal.

Every fan should care how much we spend, we can't control it, but it matters a lot short and long term!

1. Paying over the odds tarnishes the reputation of our club, others will say we're 'buying the league'. Paying 70m for morata just make sure us look a joke.

2. Fabinho for me anyway, I've watched him throughout the season, along with defensive duties, he's quick, mobile and knows how to unlock a defence, on many occasions he's found that killer ball and he's chipped in with a fair few goals and assists.

I don't care about the amount of money we spend. What I care about money wise is if we spent £100m plus on say Greizzman, when we could sign Sanchez and Aubameyang for not much more combined.

Do they want to come tho stand?

Stand, but we couldn't as either us or those players aren't interested. I love the arrogance that we could buy anyone.

Just out of interest for all those complaining about the potential Morata fee which striker would you prefer and how much would they cost?

Why would you not care? Lambasted for years by United fans were the likes of City and Chelsea spending excessively and pushing up prices for the English clubs now look at our fans "why should we care what we spend" {unreal}.

I hate the money in the game. It has changed a working mans sport into a sleazy rich mans oasis and it has turned the game to s***.

Every time I see Pogba walk onto the pitch or Mino Raiola fold his sweaty little hands I see a small country that could have been dragged out of poverty.

Get real with this "why should we care about money" chat. Disgusting.

Danny
What can morata do that Sanchez can't? We can atleast test arsenal with a 60m bid seeing he's got a year left on his contract.

Better strikers than morata may well cost more but giving Madrid 60to 70 million for their sub would be insane . They could then use the money with some of their own and end up using less of their own money to buy lewandowski or Kane than we spend on their sub . We are meant to be competing against them next season not giving them a winnning lottery ticket to improve . no deal with them is better than a bad deal.

Maze,

Don't watch then. That's the modern game now, it's not pogba's fault that there is money in the game and people willing to pay it. You have to spend big to compete, if we don't we will finish mid table every season then you would be saying we aren't good enough and need to spend.

Fresh, not arrogance we can sign anyone at all. Point is there are players out there of similar standard who are half the price. Who says either of them wouldn't be interested.

GDS have I said that it is Pogba’s fault that he cost the same a small countries yearly revenue stream or are you again putting words in my mouth? It is the oligarchs, the sheikhs, the senseless billionaires, greedy little rats feeding off others and bureaucrat’s who fail to impose regulations that irk me. I would like nothing more than the entire system stripped back with salary caps imposed, cap on transfers and a complete overhaul of strategy at the top level.

I'm actually with you on this Maze, the money in the game is disgusting and I would love to see that change. sadly the current version of reality exists and United as a club need to function within it.

I agree with that HB. I just hate when folk say "don't watch it" just because you don't agree with the situation.
