I am reading quite a few post so on here that read we should test Arsenal with a 60m for Sanchez, we should test Spurs with a 100m for Kane. Similarly there were some for Alli, Aubemayang, Lewandoeski was mentioned.

If I am not wrong, in the past one month only, Ed002 has given us the detail on how the players are signed and the bid or the "test" is only the 4th or the 5th step in the process, provided that the first steps have been passed successfully. Now with all these players, the first step ie the player doesn't want to come to United has failed. So, my question to all such great ones who want to test with bids is WHY?

For me I would rather pay 70m for a player who wants to come and play for us rather than test for players who don't want to. I don't care who is better, I would rather have committed players playing for United rather than buying superstars who would rather live in London.

Shan. If it was only as simple as that! It bothers me to read "mourinho trying to convince so and so to join", but unfortunately, the world we live in has changed! Players have a big say and they are pampered beyond belief.

No disrespect schmid, but the players should have the say where they play, it's their career and life like any of us. 👍🏻.

Shan while i agree with what you are saying i think most of those posts are due to griezmann not happening, had griezmann signed most would be happy with what we are currently targeting but with us going from griezmann to perisic, i think most people want a similar calibre player rather than have us try to sign a fiat because we couldn't get the ferrari.

I agree, I think some people think you just pick up the phone and whack a bid on the table. That may have been how it worked years ago but not nowadays. Sadly, the pull of United is perhaps not what it was.

I also think the salaries and fees have just got ridiculous. The numbers being quoted nowadays are obscene. I saw than Solanke who impressed on the Under 20s World Cup is moving from Chelsea to Liverpool, I don''t think he's played a full game for Chelsea but Liverpool are giving him £20K a week, £1m a year. I'm sure he will go on to be a great player but a teenager who has hardly played gets £1M a year, and I am sure there are many others.

How much is too much? Remember when Keane joined us and snubbed Blackburn, he was asked why as Blackburn had offered him more money. His reply was a along the lines of he was still going to be very well paid so what was the issue.

Then you have the likes of Bogarde who sat in the reserves at Chelsea, refused all moves, and just took the money, he had a contract so I guess that was his prerogative. I guess that's also an issue fro atoned. He has a contract and he is entitled to sit in the reserves and take his money, it if he really wants to play would he not look for some sort of compromise that gets him m a move? He really doesn't need the money does he?

These are just 2 examples, the sport is littered with players moving for more cash than the exorbitant amounts they already have, the game has gone mad and has no soul.

Who knows if Sanchez or Aubameyang would or wouldn't be interested in joining us?

Stand, the mere fact that we haven't bid for them means they are not.
