Reports that the Morata deal is now on hold because of Ronaldo.

My personal view is what a pain in the ass Ronaldo has become and although a big fan of him, he chose to leave and play his peak years for Madrid. Now if true he is doing a dummy spit for whatever reason and we are getting dragged into it.

I think we will be mad to buy a guy at 32/ 33 for the numbers they are talking who will want a nice juicy 3 or 4 year deal and this is not going forward but going backwards.

I just hope we get Morata in and let Madrid and Ronaldo do whatever they want without us being involved.

Ronaldo would score more goals in 2-3 seasons with us than Morata would in 5.

Ignoring the finances (which as fans we really should be doing) - Ronaldo would be a better signing.

Will it happen? Almost definitely not.

It wouldn't be a better signing if it wipes out the whole of the transfer budget and leaves us exposed in other areas. You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig.

That's my fear AJH, the Ronaldo deal will never happen in my opinion but if it did surely it would have be at the expense of other players!

We have been told that he will not be signing and that all this has nothing to do with Manchester United.
So believing all the jackanory stories on line is pointless.
Hoping we get morata done.

I just want us to get whatever deals jose and Ed had plans for and not get drawn into a summer long ronaldo saga.
