I think so far Wayne Rooney want to stay at Manchester United for money rather for football because he really know that he is no longer capable of playing in the first team at the same time there is no team offering him some wages even near his current wages.

that's why he said he wanted the team to pay up his contract and he moves on or he will stay.

my question is he will stay doing what. nothing actually other than just receiving his wages. his contract will expire anyway.

Where did he say he wants his contract paying up? The Daily Mail?

Even if he did want his contract paying up, which he has never said he does, he would be entitled to it. He is, at the end of the day, an employee. If you want to get rid of an employee then you have to pay up at least a significant portion of what is owed to that individual. Football is no different.

I've been a big detractor of Wayne but a little bit of me would like him to comeback and rip it up again.

Anyone see that video of him contesting a drop ball?
It was great!

i said all this last week and had jered after me the trouble with rooney is which is wrong he will never be considered as a great is because he is a scouser and if he loved football so mutch would play for half the money he dose not need it.

Fresh
Aren't you forgetting that there are two sides to a contract.
In Rooney's case he is being paid 300k a week to produce 300k football. This he has not done for some while. This is failure to fulfil a contract and if we were talking cladding on a building would be considered at least potentially criminal.

Living in dream land if you think anyone is walking away from 250k a week - a million quid per month if they don't have to - the club has to buy him out if they want him gone .

If he was 35 maybe he would just go but can't see it. Michael Caine freely admits in any interview he makes a lot of awful films just for the money, has done for 30 years - lots of soap actors stay for years in those dreary soaps cos its 200k per year and people shaking their hands and asking for selfies on holiday in Benidorm. no point in singling Wayne out.
