Welcome to United Lukaku. I think it's a good signing for us. He's not at he level of Suarez and Agustin granted, but at just 24 and with a proven record in the PL he should improve with playing in a better team. He will be a presence up top, bully defences and score plenty of goals. Lindelof looks a decent signing from what little I have seen of him. Next I'd like to see a CM and LB, and possibly a RB.

I still feel we lack creativity. Rashford, Martial, Lukaku, all posses pace and are direct, but we lack someone with that bit of magic to win a game from nothing. Liverpool have Coutinhio, Chelsea have Hazard, Arsenal have Sanchez, City have a few. I think we lack that. Greizmann would have given us that. Perisic may be a good player, but he's not that kind of player. I still fear we lack creativity. Personally I'd be going all out for Sanchez if I was in charge. PL proven, and probably attainable. Maybe even test Madrid with Bale, although he doesn't want to leave.

Fingers crossed for more decent signings in the coming weeks.

Jred I think Pogba will be class this season. Miki needs to get in the first 11 and stay there to see any consistency from him. Lukaku will do well, but he needs to improve on his movement. He can be very lazy and doesn't cover a lot of ground.

I think we have most of parts in place for a really good team. Hopefully miki and martial can be the regular creative element but a solid battling holding midfielder who can boss and (Jose seems to want) a direct left midfielder we have a potentially frightening squad for years to come.
I think the only thing that is missing is a bit more belief and confidence to drive forward and scare defences into making mistakes.

Many games last season we drew to nil, unable to unlock a defence. That's where someone on the level of Hazard and Coutinhio pull something from nowhere. I still think we lack that.

Agree with most of the guys. I think the squad is pretty good and if managed right I would be happy to just see a winger come in.

It will be interesting to see how RL goes this season. As you say Stand he should 'bully defenders' with his size but the fact he hasn't done that over the years is why a few folk aren't sure about him. I hope Jose can get his physical side going from the get go.

Surely a manager must also get the best out of the players he has, and I include the kids in that statement?

We have Miki, Mata, Martial, Pogba (at 90 mill) shouldn't they be creative enough, can't one of them beat one or two players and lay the ball off or find a defence splitting pass otherwise why did we buy them?

Wouldnt a better strategy be to let Miki become the best creative player in the league or mata rather than say "here is another 60 mill creative player "Surely the idea was to make Miki, or Martial or Mata into one of those 60 Mill world class players?

I disagree, miki had the highest assists in Europe last year, he is new to the league, mourinho didn't help matters with his tactics, miki would have been a hit in a team like arsenal, coutinho is a good player but no were no world class.
