Good Morning. So although so far a little frustrating with only 2 through the door, I am pleased that this season United and Woodward are now standing it would seem a lot more firmer in transfer dealings and not being mugged off by Madrid in particular and also Inter. I think Jose has a big part to play in this also especially with his comments about not spending all summer chasing Ronaldo, it would seem Jose get's it! I see quotes such as ''well it's not my money so I don't care'' but United like all clubs are also a business so we shouldn't be held to ransom with fees. If I was a millionaire (I'm not fyi) I would not pay twice the price of 75% more than a house is valued at because I have loads of money. Hopefully this stronger stance will benefit United moving forward in future windows and we will get players worth their value.

With all this in mind, if Chelsea want to play silly buggers over Matic then I think United should explore the option of signing Matudi. I have read reports PSG are willing to sell him and and if Matic, Dier and Fabinho are all difficult options to achieve then Matudi for me would be ideal to sit in with Pogba and Herrera.

As for Perisic, I would not want to see Martial involved in any part of the deal, not even a loan. I'd rather United focus on the CM and really strengthen that area and go with our wide options we have at the club.

As far as the kids are concerned, TFM is a player that people are touting for the CDM role, but I like the look of Scott McTominay. Although young and a bit inexperienced, he looks like he could be a great CM, big build, good on the ball, looks fairly composed, I think he could be one to look out for.

All just my opinions though, I expect Woodward will now go and spend £60Million on Persic and £80Million on Dier now I have posted this haha.

We weren't exactly firm with Everton Ports, we got absolutely fleeced imo!

So if lukaku becomes top goal scorer and we win the title would you say we got fleesed.

I don't understand why people get so bothered about how much someone cost.

Ports, we don't actually have any natural wide players. I can't think of a single winger we have at the club. A big problem we had last season was running into traffic and moves breaking down because we allowed the opposition defence to sit so tight as we had nobody fixed to the touchline.

Redneckred, well it depends on how you look at it. For me, Lukaku is 24 so if he plays for us until he is 30, that is 6 years. He's scored goals in the premier league and I'd like to think he will score more for us than Everton due to us creating more chances than Everton. So would you be happy paying £15Million at the start of each season for a striker who will score you between 15/ 20 and 25/ 30 goals that season? I would be happy with that. The fact that Madrid sold Morata to Chelsea for what I understand is less than what we offered shows we aren't going to get mugged off again by them so I would suggest yes Woodward has stood firm.

Wazza, like I said, I'd rather go with our options than get fleeced by Inter. Maybe our options aren't out and out wingers and I don't know much about Perisic to say whether he is or not but with going with what it would seem a 4-3-3 formation, with Martial on the left, like Henry used to do, he can start out wide and drift in when running at players, same with Miki on the right or Lingard and Mata. By strengthening our CM when these players drift in field this will create the space for Shaw and Valencia to give us the width as having a Matudi type player will offer more protection defensively to allow the full backs to be more attacking. The "wide" players also have the ability to go on the outside as well so I don't think not having Perisic would be that big a loss compared to a CM. obviously he would strengthen us but not at the expense of paying more than he is worth which is the point of the post.

Still think Perisic is coming in sooner or later and Jose's comments on numbers might be a smokescreen/ warning that we are not desperate. but think there's a chance on another 2 inc A KEEPER IF REAL COME CALLING -HOPEFULLY NOT.
