I think there are some twists and turns still to come. If Madrid manage to sign Mbappe then they are over staffed up front - Mbappe, Ronaldo, Benzema, Bale, Isco and I still think Bale will become available - if he does then we should be straight in for him. Of everyone we have been linked with he is a level above and is proven in the EPL. I know this is not currently on the radar but as targets fall by the wayside and deadline day approaches I think we will see some surprises.

The Neymar situation is also interesting, if he does move then Barcelona will look to replace, interesting to see with whom. PSG seem to have a lot of money to burn and they will spend it, if not Neymar and Sanchez then they will look elsewhere.

I think there is a domino effect building, buckle up and hold tight.

We don't need Bale. we need a midfielder and a wide player.

I wouldn't touch bale under any circumstances.

Would be interested in your thoughts on this one ed001.
I feel with his injury issues we would be taking a massive risk in trying to sign him if her were available.

{Ed001's Note - too many injuries to make him a worthwhile signing imo. Yes he is brilliant on those two occasions a year when he is fit and on form, but a player needs to be available a lot more often to be worth buying.}

We don't need bale? One of the worlds best players and we don't need him. If he becomes available we should do whatever it takes.

I am not sure if Mourinho is interested in him as I see it being one or either of Bale/ Griezman. I would take Bale if he wanted to come but I am not sure it fits the current plan.

Each to theiir own. I think his injury record is overstated and he mikes ahrad of everyone we have been linked with. Rashford, Martial, Bale can all play wide, if we play 2 up front then they can all do that as well.

Agreed ed.
We just would not be able to rely on him. I am sure the fee would very high too. I remember reading an article about his injuries (not sure if it was from here) but a doctor advised Madrid against signing him. Is this true?
Greizmann makes far more sense.

{Ed001's Note - yes it is true that his medical could have led to his signing being abandoned. He has a number of issues, ones which he has worked hard to try and rectify but I just do not see any sign of the problems being fixed. Explosive acceleration and pace comes with risk attached.}

No point having a Ferrari that's always in the garage AJH.

I like him a lot, just feel his injuries might continue to pile up and would be a waste.

I would rather take Isco than Bale! He's living in the shadows of his team mates but he's just as effective as othwrs in the RM team. I'd love to see him at OT.

I'm amazed that Real still went through with it at that fee after they were made aware of his injury issues. Do you see Real looking to sell him any time soon ed?

Isco is an amazing talent. I think he will have a massive season and it looks like Zidane really rates him. They kept him over James.

One of the worlds best players. do me a favour. He had 2 good games in the EURO'S and has been in and out of the Real side for the past 2 seasons injured.
The most overrated player on the planet and Constantly injured. 100 million for a crock that will play 50% of the games and turn up in 20% of them.
I really don't get this infatuation with Bale.

Simo, 23 goals in 31 for Spurs in his last season in the PL, 54 in 99 for Madrid despite injuries and playing in Ronaldos shadow. Almost single handedly dragging Wales to the euro semi finals, 3 champions league medals, PFA player of the year twice, yeh, dead overrated mate. He's one of only a handful of players who can single handedly carry a team through a match with sheer brilliance. If you think we have anyone in our side better then your mad.

Bale is absolutely brilliant but he's not going anywhere and isn't worth the money with his injuries. Much rather they splashed out on Ousmane Dembele or Emil Forsberg instead.

{Ed002's Note - Bale might well be moving.}

That is interesting.
I know this isn't for the United page, but can you please tell which clubs are interested in signing Bale?

In response to the over staffed comment, Madrid play with 3 up top and 5 players were named with one who plays as the most advanced of a midfield 3. In my eyes this should be classed as good squad depth rather than an excess of players. I cannot see Madrid letting any of the players named leave unless stupid money is involved. They sold morata for 60 million, a bench player for them last year.

El paso they played the final third of the season playing 442 with Ronaldo and benzema up front.

Ken with isco in cam position of a midfield diamond. For the rest of the season they played 433 with ronaldo, bale, James or asensio predominantly wide of benzema or morata. The game the other day they seemed to play a 433 in my opinion, pushing onto blind especially in the second half. The point is that Madrid have sold 2 of their attacking players and not bought anyone yet to replace them. A purchase such as mbappe would add depth to their squad but I can't see him breaking into the first 11 and so players such as bale or isco I can't see them going anywhere.
