Perisic has a few good atributes but is his best one the fact he has been linked to us .

At 28 he has been about a bit, and yet i can't rember him getting a mention on here until until we where linked to him .
He looks a Jose player from what I've seen but to be honest I've never really seen him stand out at inter .
And from what i can recall struggled in Germany in fact did he not have a bit of an attitude.
People want him over bale now a player who is a real game changer but is perisic or would he just be another option?

Agree 100% mort End of last season bale was a bench warmer and beginning of this RM say he has ongoing ankle issues. Still people say we should throw 90m away based on how good he was 4 years ago. Would be as stupid as paying a large Brexit bill.

If Jose would rather have Perisic than Bale then I find it hard to argue with him. Even if I feel Bale is the more talented.

Jose will have a plan and he will pick the players who fit into that plan. If Perisic is a better fit than Bale then so be it.

Football is a team game and sometimes a player who seems less talented can work better for the team than a more talented one.

Perisic for example will probably provide better defensive cover possibly freeing a midfielder such as Pogba to get more involved in the attack. Perisic has an unselfish style which in theory should get the best out of Lukaku and provide him the ammunition he needs to top score in the league.

Perisic is a player who could potentially increase both Pogba's and Lukaku's output this season by 20-25% while also potentially offering a more consistent threat on the left than Martial.

Where as Bale might score a few more goals when he's fit, but might not help the rest of the team reach their potential. He might also miss half the game while out injured.

I'm not saying Perisic is a better option, just that there are two sides to every argument and he does offer things Bale doesn't.

No not because he's been linked with us. He's a player I watched a few times last season and he stood out in an average Inter side.

Our problem of recent years has been a lack of width. Bale likes to cut in the same as everyone else we have.

Also, if Jose is looking for someone to play as a wing back or attacking left back, perhaps Perisic is more suitable?

I agree with Shappys part of the debate here. Instead of shiny new signings I think Jose is looking to fill round holes with round pegs. He wants players that can do a particular role and be solid whilst doing it. I for one would welcome Bale but I believe Perisic would do a lot more for the team. I wouldn't be averse to the two of them coming.

Fit and on form bale is one of a few players who could run riot in the prem league . Greizmann is unavailable this window but we could target him next year . Greizmann behind a striker with bale right and martial or rashford left and we would look the real deal a match for just about anyone imo . I get people's worries over his fitness and if medical experts pointed out a serious underlying problem then of course back away but I'd certainly explore it first if it became possible.

From what I've seen of Perisic he looks a good player. Maybe not a world class one, but certainly a talented and useful one.

He has many good traits, fast, strong, hard working, tactically flexible, and seems to have a good grasp of the game. Is he outstanding? No. But he is probably an improvement over who we have to play out wide.

I'm all for signing players who'll improve our team. I think Perisic would.

I understand where you are coming from jred, bale on his day is a game changer. As mort said, all of our wingers do the same thing, start wide, get the ball and cut in, whereas perisic is happy to hug the touchline and whip in a cross.

I think the signing of matic can help us here, with wingers that like to cut inside all the time, we need the fullbacks to bomb on. Matic has been bought in to sit in front of the back four and cover the fullbacks when they get forward.

I struggle to come up with many wingers who are happy to hug the sideline and beat their man and whip in a decent cross, maybe perisic is the best available and jose has a plan for him.

Jred. Whenever I have watched Inter the past few years, Perisic has been their best player. You will be surprised by how good he'll be at United, if we sign him.
Bale is a super player but the past two years, he's been more injured than not. If Bale is fit, then there will be no contest. But he is extremely injury prone.
I would rather we offered arsenal the money for Sanchez.

Jred, whenever I've watched a match with Perisic in he's never stood out to me. And until the sharkopod I didn't see anyone saying he would be great for us. If we're going to spend £50m on him I'd rather the risk for £80m for Bale, a player who when fit is in the top ten players on the planet.

Watched inter a few times didn't really notice him .
People have gone on and on about him after the sharkpod the last month of the season must he must of been amazing.
