Does anyone here genuinly think we have a chance of signing Bale? I would love it to happen, I just can't see it. I don't think he has any interest in leaving Madrid and can't see him being forced out. I hope I'm wrong, but my gut feeling is nothing will happen.

I think he'd rather stay there for another year or two but if they get Mbappe he'll be gone as they will want to claw some money back while they can Benzema is worth about £5 now) and we'd be his first choice destination.

Obvioulsy we don't know what goes on behind the scenes at RM but just about every article I've read about Bale suggests he loves the life, the club, the city etc etc . and yet the fans and even some of the players seem very lukewarm at best towards him, he is constantly at the top of the polls for players to be sold according to fans and I've read he only has one mate and that's Modric, and of course managers seem to be lukewarm towards him . I know the money helps but fair play to him to keep plugging away at being a success there, he must be quite mentally strong.

I think we have a great chance of signing him but it all comes down to Madrid and if they actually want to get rid of him.
