A big plus for me was in no games we have continued used attacking right up to the end. No trying to lock the game down, no defensive tactics, we continued to attack and that's the way I like to see us play.

There will be games where we need to hold. 1-0 lead but in these 2 games we have seen what happens when we go for it. Long may it continue.

Do s this signal a change in Jose's safety first mentality? Has that been overstated? I thought his comments today post game were illuminating and positive. I ccross my fingers he is understanding how United work and has bought in. We shall see.

What pleases me is not only seeing Rom and Matic start so well but seeing Jones, Mata, Rash, Pogba, Miki, players with obvious talent perform like we know they can, like some of us has said in the past getting the current crop to perform is as important as new faces all the time, hats off to them all so far this season, even Fellaini and Martial with great attitudes off the bench.

There is massive potential in the squad the main objective was always going to be getting the players we all ready had playing to the level they are capable of .

Exactly, jred. I know it's only two games in, against weak opposition, but I still think this squad is more than capable of competing for the premiership. I didn't have us in the top 4 last season, but with Miki and Pogba like two new players, and maybe Shaw getting back to his best, there's no excuses this year.

Very shallow looking to me, mate. That's not to say they won't do what Chelsea normally do, and buy big with time running out. City are scary looking in attack, but then I think we look pretty potent as well. Our defence is certainly stronger. Same applies to Liverpool and Arsenal. In fact, in the top 5, considering other fans seem to think our defence is shaky, I'd only see Spurs has being as strong in that department. What's happened to rock solid defences in our top teams?
