What if this Johnny Evans to City is just a smokescreen and Jose actually wants him back. Would you take him (putting aside whatever the transfer fee would be? ) .

I would and send Smalling the other way.

There was a point a few years back when Evans started a Champions League game against Madrid ahead of Rio. At that time he was probably playing better football than Vidic too.

Given how limited his chances were with us he did incredibly well. Since leaving and playing regular football he's improved his game massively. It does make me wonder how good he might have been if he'd played regularly from a younger age.

Personally I think he'd walk into our first eleven.
