Hi Ken -

Best buy Matic - I'll reserve judgement until we play a team that attacks us, Carrick would look top quality the way we have played. Although he has started well for sure.
Worst buy ox - Opposite imo, ideal signing and cheap given the figures going around, English, utility and looks different class if kept fit which he may well do. I'd have loved him at Utd.
Best loan deal polish lad to wrest brom from psg or Sanches to Swansea - destroyed Chelsea pre-season by himself, look quality.
Best window I'd say City by a mile, they have strengthened where they needed to, we have some gaping holes left to address so good but not great window for us.

Barkley will prob move to Chelsea in Jan for far less than the 35 mil . injured until November had no preseason prob not fit until xmass.

Lukaku will be massive for United only bought 2 first team players but prob had the best transfer window.

Lot of talk about Sanchez being an issue at arsenal for last 6 month the club is in a mess .
Ox looks a klopp.

#ox looks a kloot player#.

Rumour is Barkley wants to talk to Spurs.

So the cb playing against basle is the invisible man jred?
Lindelof will be a first team regular before the end of the session i think. Great management giving him time and Jones has done well hope he can stay fit.
I think keeping sanchez is a mistake too he can't be the same player this season.
Beast i meant to include sanches as best loan too along with the other chap.
City have bought strong upgrades on what they had i agree but us getting rid of rooney and replacing him with lukaku tops any other deal imo.

AJh that is no surprise at all. Rumour has it that's the move be wanted. Now he will get that move in jan costing everton a small fortune. Their owner was on sky last night fuming.

Beast i know you are an ox fan. But i'm not sure about him 6 league goals in 4 years is a shocking return for an attacking player and if he is cheap i'm not sure how you can have reservations on matic who cost the same.
Where doo you see him playing for Liverpool. They play 433 and the 3 forward positions are occupied by far better players and lallana will be ahead of ox when fit i presume. And 3 midfield spots are occupied by 3 better players also imo. So squad / rotation player at best. But he is decent cover for them but a real flakey character imo and does not run games. Maybe ed001 will have a better idea of where he will fit in.

haha Ken - I certainly agree with the Rooney point. Sad to see him up to his old tricks according to the media.

I haven't been especially impressed by Lukaku so far, he looks a bit of a clumsy oaf to me. I'm sure he'll settle and we will learn how to use him, but I think our better form is 90% to do with Matic and 5% Lukaku (the other 5% players like Martial lifting their games) .

Lukaku will get goals (but so will Rooney as we have seen) . I know it's too soon to judge, but we all seem quick to be praising Matic to the hilt, cuts both ways.

I agree on matic being the the current buy of the summer. I couldn't believe Chelsea sold him especially to a rival aswell.
Salah may take that spot come the end of the season however ;) no bias from me on matic though. I think he's been outstanding and was a superb buy for United unfortunately.
on ox. I'm not a fan of the player that's for sure. His price I think many can criticise, that's fair enough but he'll make a possibly excellent utility player. I do expect klopp to improve his game. He took a significant wage cut and chose us over the champions Chelsea so there is clearly a player who wants to succeed at Liverpool and that's always a plus.

No lindelof will be playing because our first choice Jones and Bailly are banned if both stay fit they will continue to be first choice .
May see the best of lindelof next year similar to the miki .

Lukaku has replaced ibra in the first 11 (childish Rooney dig) and brought that power pace and extra dimension we have missed .
Doesn't command to be the focal point like ibra or drop in to the space pogba miki and Mata operate .
Looks a great fit exactly what we needed . 10 goals 6 different scorers tells it's own story .

Could understand Barkley wanting spurs but also he won't be fully fit until xmass so wouldn't be surprised if Chelsea bought him in Jan for a lot less than 35 mil with him only having 6 month on his contract and the player getting a few Bob more.

everyone must see a different window to me.

City signed a load of attacking players and spent around £120m on fullbacks.

They still have Fernandinho and seem to be playing KDB there also. that's not great imo and add to the fact there CB's are still Komapny, Otamendi, Stones and Mangala they for me haven't really upgraded to much.

There problem last season wasnt attacking it was without the ball and i don't htink they have improved that part at all.

Best signing -Lukaku
Worst -Bony
Best loan -Sanchtis
Biggest plonker -Wenger
Best window -Utd and Huddersfield.

Ox has played his best football in cm imo, some may not rate him I think he has a lot of potentially should be a good fit for Liverpool imo .
Liverpool have spent 40mil on him so I would think they will have a role for him.

13.) 01 Sep 2017
01 Sep 2017 14:48:19
Ctr
It's a good point on city, lot of attacking players but they had very good attacking options to start with and you can't play everyone .
Cm looks weak komapny is vital at cb can the Fbs defend, gk?

14.) 01 Sep 2017
01 Sep 2017 14:56:49
We spent 39m on lindelof i'm sure there is a role for him. Ox has started 12 games for arsenal in cm in 4 seasons
Not a childish dig at rooney ibra still at the club rooney is not ergo lukaku took rooneys squad place.

01 Sep 2017 15:00:00
I agree with your point al ox chose Liverpool and for less cash so that shows his commitment and desire to olay there and that is a oositive.
I mentioned salah yesterday on here he looms direct and gives your astral a Better balance than last season. Looks like a good buy.

Beast your hardly surprised. You can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear. The chap is a knacker a complete tramp imo. For me drink driving should carry an automatic jail sentence. I lost my nephew killed by a drink driver. There is no excuse for it. A totally insane act.

17.) 01 Sep 2017
01 Sep 2017 15:13:05
Klopp isn't Jose tho and United aren't liverpool .
Lindelof at 22 and never playing in the epl is probably one for the future, don't think ox will be for liverpool but we will see over the next few week .
Also think he will play in cm role .
But you might be right guess we will see who's right over the next month or 2

Ibra was our main striker last season lukaku has taken his number and place in the starting 11.

18.) 01 Sep 2017
01 Sep 2017 15:17:47
Ox was a panic buy. Couldn't get who they wanted an threw cash at an average player and claimed he's for squad depth. Brings nothing to the table.

19.) 01 Sep 2017
01 Sep 2017 15:27:41
Lukaku took rooneys place in the squad that's a fact striker for striker when ibra is fit and available we will see where he plays.

20.) 01 Sep 2017
01 Sep 2017 15:36:52
Ok squad filler and rotation option. That's what he has been at aresenal for the last 4 years. Never could command a place In the team that he coveted. But he has nice pecs.

21.) 01 Sep 2017
01 Sep 2017 15:56:33
Lukaku will start 9 are you suggestion ibra will take his place?
Lukaku has taken ibras number and place in the starting 11 ibra has probably taken Rooney on the bench .

Ox will do better at liverpool than arsenal imo, serious issues at arsenal imo every player has or is going backwards .
Time will tell.

22.) 01 Sep 2017
01 Sep 2017 16:07:09
I agrrr jred arsensl appear to be in turmoil. Nearly all their players have regressed over the past 3 years. Even good youth players thst came through never kicked on gibbs chambers iwobi ramsey and the players bought like ozil welbeck mustafi lokk worse than when they came. Ox is another case in point. He will do better at liverpool than arsenal but if he starts 150 games over his 5 years i'd be surprised.

23.) 01 Sep 2017
01 Sep 2017 15:54:41
I see Ox as a wing back when they go 3 at the back (better than Clyne), great option for CM, (I don't rate Can) and some of the attacking players for Liverpool are always injured so he can slot in there as well. Also means if Coutinho gets a strop on it isn't a massive problem or certainly not as big a problem as it would have been.

Liverpool will dominate a lot of games and Ox adds some good dynamism and penetration which they can sometimes lack - I'd rather have him out wide than Mata or Lingard being honest. I think he will be a great signing but time will tell and I hope he is a massive flop of course.

24.) 01 Sep 2017
01 Sep 2017 16:29:39
Too early to make any of those judgements. let's wait and see who wins what come end of the season. Until then every fan will be highly biased towards their own teams. I do believe we have actually done very well in terms of what we have paid for getting the players we got if the figures being thrown around are true. Madness.

25.) 01 Sep 2017
01 Sep 2017 20:16:40
Ken
He could get injured or anything over 5 years we will see Liverpool's plan for the ox soon enough.

26.) 02 Sep 2017
02 Sep 2017 20:00:33
So a bit of a john o shea or phil neville jack of all trades master of none. Handy to have in the squad i suppose but won't command a position of his own i feel.
Posters didn't want us signing proven ability like perisic or willian as it might block good potential youth but then say ox is a good buy for liverpool yet he will block good potential youth there without being a specialist in any position.
