Well Matic is a good screener in front of the back four but he slow and one directional. He has not been able to reproduce his form of 2015. It is always terrible during his off games. I think the fact that Bakayoko has not played in EPL doesn't mean that he will not cut it at the EPL he bossed the spurs and city's midfield in UCL. He was nominated in the UCL XI. He is much younger and more room for improvement.

Well he has been fantastic so far for us and hasn't looked slow at all. Early days but he's been fantastic.

It is what he has allowed Pogba to do that I like most. Matic may not be a world beater, but he has allowed a player who can be to play how we know he can. Therefore, Chelsea allowing us to buy one player has improved 2 positions in our team immensely. Hard for them to accept I guess. I'd be p*ssed if it was the other way round.

If you don't win the league it will be a bad call.
Bakayoko looks a really good player imo but he is not a holding midfielder. I think you did well buying drinkwater he plays more like matic imo.
Im happy we bought him and i'm delighted with the way he has started. He will have poor games i'm sure but he will have more good than bad. Jose likes that combative holding player there are not many if any better at that role than matic.
As brendan said above he enables others to do what their best at and he gets on with his job. He is an expert in his position. Very aggresive in his pursuit of the ball and is hugely disciplined in his positioning. So he is exactly the type of player jose needed for his system.
I pleased your happy with the deal because then everyone is a winner (as long as you win the league)

Even if Chelsea turn out to have upgraded by selling Matic and buying Bakayoko, it doesn't mean that United haven't upgraded too, or even upgraded more. Our needs were different to Chelsea's. If he does the job for which Jose acquired him, and it means we end up in the top 3 while scoring 20+ more goals, then he will have been a success. How Chelsea does is not relevant to the determination. They can't do much better than last season anyway, whereas we have plenty of room for improvement.
