Definitely would be a good buy, but it will depend on Griezmann and what we do there. Either signing will also have an impact on Martial / Rashford, most likely Martial.

Personally I would prefer Sanchez to Greizmann. He has proven himself in the EPL and he doesn't court the press in quite the same way. I really didn't like Greizmann saying things like he is 60% likely to leave his current club on a TV show. It shows a lack of class and respect for his current employers. Is that the kind of person you want at your club? He is ridiculously talented and would certainly improve our team, but will his off field antics effect the team moral? Possibly. Also I think to get the best out of Greizmann you need to play him as a free No.10, which means shunting Mkhitaryan out to the right wing. I also wonder if that freedom he needs might mean he gets in the space Pogba likes to work in. They haven't quite clicked together for France.

So there are a couple of slight worries I have over Greizmann, not enough to say I would be upset if we signed him. I wouldn't I would be over the moon. But enough to say overall I would much rather sign Sanchez either on the cheap in January or for free next summer, than pay 150m for Greizmann.

Griezmann's clause is half what it was last summer. €100m now I believe.

We will certainly be in the mix for Sanchez if he's free. Large signing on fee and huge wages, but he's a £80m player so the club will jump all over that. Will the the new face to our Chilean wine deal.

Cant see us going in for Griezmann. Was giving all that about almost certain to leave Atleti only turn around when they got the ban. Loyalty or sentimentality? For me he had his chance and bottled it. Also ed2 said he only wants to okay central. So we'd have to move Miki. And he likes to drift deep so he'd end up on pogbas toes. i'd rather sign a genuine wide player.

I agree with Syd that Alexis is a proven PL player and one who gives 100%. I'd rather him than Greaseman.
Also I would rather save the money paying Arsenal and give some of that to Alexis. Afterall he is the one who will bust his backside if he is paid better. Whilst Greais a very good player we might upset the team's balance. We should build the team around Pogba, Lukaku and Mikki rather than Greaseman. Alexis will fit in nicely with the team and Alexis can play wide position easily as well. Rash and Martial can learn and rotate when required especially if we have many games to play going into CL and various Cups.

{Ed004's Note - If we moved one of our attackers (Mata or Lingard) on and Ibra doesn't sign an extension we could do with two players for our offense anyways. Griezmann would play behind the striker with Sanchez and Mkhitaryan able to play either wide positions. We would be well set up for next season offensively and would only need to look to adding to our fullbacks next summer}

Oooo Ed004 that's a very good suggestion and view. i like that. Also I agree we need to phase in stronger fullbacks. That's a big important requirement. 👍👍.

{Ed004's Note - Sign Griezmann in January after Costa signs for Atletico, get a pre-agreement in place with Sanchez (or Messi...only joking here btw) as soon as possible. Griezmann would play centrally, with Mkhitaryan playing on the right but given a license to drift around a lot just like Mata does now. Move on a few full backs in the summer and sign probably two and then bring in cover for midfield. Someone like Milinkovic-Savic}

I would keep away from Sanchez, good player but some serious ego issues .
Be amazed if he doesn't join pep at city .
United Sanchez makes a good headline tho.

Griezmann would be a good shout looks a Jose player but Miki with a good season could maybe close the door on that .
Or reading ed2 comments maybe ibra will.
"With Manchester United adding Lukaku and making the dumb decision over Ibrahimovic then the need for Griezmann goes away unless there is a plan to push him out to left wing where he has now transitioned away from. So perhaps Griezmann would be an option for next summer (unless MU again sign Ibrahimovic),  "

{Ed004's Note - Before Zlatan got injured I think the idea was that Griezmann would play off him. I still think that's the case going forward. Mkhitaryan has been excellent this season, but also very wasteful and hasn't scored very much. Griezmann would be odds on to score atleast 20+ in all competitions and I think if him and Lukaku struck up a partnership both would be looking at 20+ goals in the league each. Add in that Martial, Rashford, Mkhitaryan and Mata would still be playing wide and scoring, along with our taller players being a threat on set pieces, Pogba, Jones, Bailly, Smalling, Matic etc we would have plenty of goals in the side. This is assuming Zlatan doesn't sign on for another season btw as Martial, Rashford and Griezmann can play as the main striker.}

Ed I think it makes sense that Jose will have options if Griezmann sins with us. Good also if Alexis be keen to Jin us. That will provide for Jose not to be reliant on Zlatan as well as Carrick leaving us (perhaps becoming a coach? ) .
If we are able to show a strong challenge for the PL title, we will definitely attract both Griezmann and Alexis.
We will then have a very strong XI as well as a very strong bench. I like what you said. 👍.

{Ed004's Note - I've been very happy with Jose so far. We have shown clear signs of improvement, seems to be a great atmosphere in the club and won a few trophies already. Hopefully, he continues on this upward trajectory}

Ibra will leave summer 2018. Griezmann available summer 2018. What the editor said is only relevant if Griezmann moves in January. Sanchez or Griezmann would replace Mata in the line-up, how they'll set up with Griezmann is anyone's guess. Good headache to have though.

MU will let the Sanchez camp know they are interested, he's free so be dumb not to, but I think City is where he'll go.

No idea where sancez will end up as he will have his choice of all or most of the top clubs.
If we sign him i'd be delighted if we don't i wouldn't be upset.
There are so many variables that can affect greizman and sanchez between jan or next summer that its impossible to say what will happen.
