Yes i thought spurs were terrific city from the highlights were good value for their win and scoring 7 in any game is great that had been coming for a while imo from Liverpool.
Lets hope tomorrow we can get back to the tempo we played prior to last Saturday.

I thought Spurs were terrific and a great result for Liverpool. Let's hope we set up to win and not just sneak a goal.

Haven't seen any of the city game but that's a good win napoli are a good team from what I've seen this season.

Praise must go to pochettino for playing two out and out strikers at RM in the bernabau. I thought they rode their luck a bit but Kane could have nicked it late on. So they deserve their point just for their courage and trying to play football. If mourinho is thinking of leaving (And I won't be surprised if he does as Woodward and the owners have shown their lack of ambition in comparison to other top clubs), then I would love Pochettino to come. We would finally have a manager with the right idea of playing football and he's good at man management and seems a down to earth person. He will also fit in with glazers and Woodward player recruitment as he's been quite shrewd at his time at Southampton and Spurs.
City were lucky I thought, napoli missed a penalty and stones handball should have seen them concede another penalty. Ref got the calls right apart from that one. But city's defence did look shambolic at times.

Sch
Since Jose come to town how many teams have spent more than us?
Woodward and the glazers player recruitment?
We have spent a fourtune the last few years .
Thankfully we got our business done before the neymar deal but pogba and lukaku where huge deals .
And I fully expect us to spend big again in the market next summer.

Schmid, you're criticising the lack of ambition of the owners, then claiming Poch would be a great manager as he's very shrewd in the transfer market. You can't have it both ways, mate.

Apologies, Schmid. I misread your post. Cancel my last 😀.

No problem Stevie. I just think that mourinho might have expected more from the owners and Woodward. But it's their business and they'll run it as they wish I suppose. I don't like the owners or Woodward one bit, but there's nothing we can do about it. Pochettino on the other hand is used to working on a budget and that might suit the Glazers and their puppet or shall I say Muppet.
Jred, since mourinho came in, city and PSG and even Barcelona with a transfer ban have out spent us. But the point is City, PSG and Barcelona already had better teams and squads and we're playing catchup for all the years that we didn't compete, no value in the market etc etc. So the onus is on us to buy the best when they're available, but sadly this doesn't happen. We spent £75m on a striker and created a big fanfare. City spent over £110m on two full backs. Then they went and spent another £30m on another fullback in danillo just to sit on the bench. They have de bruyne, Silva, gundogan, fernandinho, yaya, sane and they still felt the need to spend over £45m on Bernardo Silva who will walk into any side in the PL.
The point is, these clubs have owners who are genuinely interested in football. They'll do anything to ensure the best players are playing for them. Can you or any United fan genuinely believe that the Glazers have the same footballing ambition of the City or PSG owners? Not in a million years.

Too much vinho verde, Tony. Never too proud to admit when I get it wrong, tho. I give Schmid a hard enough time over his views on certain aspects of the club, never mind when i'm too drunk to read his post properly 😀.
