An honest question does anyone actually think martial can play left wing?

I keep watching him and he spends half of his time drifting in to the middle and the other walking towards the ball!

If he's going to play wing he needs to start staying wide cutting in at the edge of the area no earlier and staying wide even if he isn't getting the ball.

When he gets the ball he can be effective but again his crossing isn't fantastic so he goes all out for the byline near the post to square the ball or he runs into 3/ 4 players and loses the ball. In my opinion he wants to be a striker and would probably do a lot better there.

Be interested to know other people's opinions.

DB. Absolutely spot on. I've been calling for a winger but everyone keeps saying we've got martial and Rashford. Neither are wingers. I think martial is very inconsistent and needs to buck up his ideas.

No problem with a winger arriving but much rather for the right we are almost a goal a game from left side attacker it's the least of our worries and that's with very little overlap from leftbacks . The right hand side attack isn't good enough it's either players not in preferred position or lindgard.

That is his best position, just didn’t show it today as he had a horrible attitude from the moment he was fouled early. He has no left foot so on the right he’d be stuck without the option of cutting inside. He just relies on that one move and when it doesn’t work and he gives the ball away he loses confidence and doesn’t contribute anything else. Today was another example of Jose’s teams struggling to break down a defensive side, but the loss is down to two individual errors imo. Lindelof and mata. The rest of the team looked off, but it wasn’t like we were dominated. Just uninterested and that led to the goals as well.

I th No he's had a poor attitude for a long time. We've had flashes of great form this year but I worry there is something wrong in his head.

He doesn't seem interested, there is no urgency to get in the box, he looks lethargic and subdued. Given his form in his first season we know he has great ability, he just seems to have the weight of the world on his shoulders. Yesterday he was dreadful.

{Ed025's Note - he is seen as a bit of a brat by people at the club AJH and to be honest thats how he has come across this season mate..
