Last season zlatan scored 17 of our 54 goals (less than bournemouth lol) in the league which roughly equates to 31%

This season Lukaku has scored 7 of our 22 league goals which is also 31% (smaller sample size i know) .

However Last season it was obvious that we were not getting goals from other areas. Have we even addressed that problem?

To win the league you are looking to get between 80-100 goals in the season and lukaku will probably get 20-25 which leaves a lot for the other to pick up.

What do you think the others should be aiming for this season? Likes of micky and mata have only scored two league goals this season which is not good enough.

DSG

I said pre season this is a problem and we didn’t address it. Jose said he wanted a wide forward and Woodward did not deliver. It is why I believe we will not be likely to win the league but top three is our best hope.

We have scored plenty of goals people are obsessed with pointing out the negatives and seem only capable about talking about the last 2 games.
It feels like people have been waiting for a bad game to say I told u so.

Yeah I've been a biit guilty of that, I often give others stick for getting caught up in a moment and not taking a step back to see the bigger picture. I had us down as second to City, still think that is very possible, looking forward to a reaction on Saturday.

I am still concerned about Jose though but we shall see.

Great point DSG we're still lacking some consistency from any of the 3 that normally play behind Lukaku!

Lukaku was always going to come in and replace Ibra's goals but our season will be defined by how much the likes of Rashford, Martial, Miki, Mata and Lingard can contribute!

Is there any chance Ibra will come back and partner Lukaku and maybe play just behind him as he often dropped deep last year anyway?

It's prob a bit early to make a judgement either way, it's still a bit early in the season . City won 10 in a row at the start of last season .
That said I think there are far more positives than negatives so far this season and using 2 games against Liverpool and Huddersfield as the bench mark while ignoring everything before it seem a bit off .

All ready been a lot said about Kane missing for spurs but United also got more than 1 big name missing.
Win tomorrow and the last 2 games won't seem so bad .
Get beat and people will get more concerned.

Danny
to be fair the 3 behind have changed due to injuries
Regarding the chipping in with goals, I can see us being more active in january than a lot think, with 2-3 additions.
Add ibra back as well as pogba and rojo who came on well before his injury I think things will look rosy after xmas.
