Anyone on this page still against signing Ozil? Ran himself into the ground all game, again. And what a finish for his goal.

He is world class Scholes and better than our creative no 10s. I would be thrilled if we signed him as I have wanted him before he went to real. Really hope it happens.

Oezil plays well when he has intelligent movement ahead of and around him. We lack that, so we should steer clear until players of his caliber can advance us rather than hinder us. Oezil is a finishing touch, we are several steps away from that. He would be a passenger at the moment and we have enough of them.

Been sayin no to him all season BUT this recent ozil is the player that arsenal fans have wanted for ages and the player that we would benefit from.

Makes me wonder why the sudden increase in wrk rate?

I think getting Oezil would be a major boost to the team. He would take a lot of work off pogba by being another outlet to bring the ball forward thereby freeing him up a little more. He is also decent at holding the ball up and bringing others into play- miki has lost the ball too often in the recent past before he fell out of favour. Martial and rashford will also benefit as they can make their runs knowing they will be found.
But I think the person who would profit most would be lukaku. Miki and lingard are #10s who like to play the ball to the strikers feet- not lukaku’s forte. Oezil is comfortable playing ball to the feet of players and is very good in playing balls into space which lukaku likes as he can then run into it and bulldoze his way through the defence rather than play with his back to goal.
I don’t think it will happen, but will be chuffed if it did as it will give us a massive boost - especially in the champions league as Oezil is not cup tied.

Ozil can pass the ball accurately and under pressure. Something our team is not capable of at present. I'll sign him, Malcolm and Sessgnon or Gaya from Valencia, and that will be a good window.
