If the Ozil rumors are true, I would be very excited to see him come to Old Trafford. Very few players in the world can open up a good defense with their movement and passing, and Ozil is one of them.

Some have questioned a move for Ozil since he is primarily a #10, and that would push Pogba deeper. But I think it could work. Look at what Man City have done with De Bruyne and Silva, both as #8s. No one would have predicted beforehand that the City midfield cold be strong enough defensively, but they have been brilliant. It is not simply a question of whether Ozil will track back or tackle enough, it is what the manager instills in the team defensive unit as a whole. If Ozil is attainable, he is too good to pass up.

I really hope we sign him zidaniel as i think he is world class and too good to pass up on a free. I would actually play him on the right like mata does with him roaming around inside with valencia/ a new rb providing the width. I don't think we would be able to do what city do with de bruyne and silva due to jose's style of play. Pep demands that the ball is kept and dominated by his teams whereas jose' teams are less possession based. we would get overrun as neither pogba or ozil are particularly effective in their defensive duties. If they were playing for pep, it would work.

Fair point Park. Knowing Jose, he would probably have Ozil as a right wing, and let him roam around, and that way, still keep 3 in the middle. But if it is a 4-2-3-1, Ozil would be by far the best #10 we could play.
