Evening, enjoyable game to watch today. Result went how I hoped and also the last 5mins suggested Liverpool are still a bit shakey and will likely drop silly points this season. What it also showed was if you press City you can force mistakes, Liverpool got their tactics spot on there which leads me on to Sanchez. Having watched him play for Arsenal, he brings that energy and pressure but got frustrated when his team mates didn’t replicate it. So, if he is coming to United, would this give us an insight to how Jose wants to approach games, is this part of what we as fans are wanting to see from a United team? Surely Sanchez won’t want to sign for a team that can’t match how he approaches games?

Ports first off Maze disagrees with your championing of a Liverpool victory but does agree with you regarding Sanchez. Maze has said all alone that Sanchez is a top player and if he is available then you have got to try to make it happen. If you only get 3 years out of him then so be it, 3 years is a long time in the current game for a player to be at his peak.

The one thing I will say on ‘Liverpool’s dodgy defence’ is that you need the players who can exploit than defence and that is what City have. City get Sanchez they have another weapon who can do that to teams. Would you be confident the current crop at United could mentally and have the capability to claw their way back into the game the way City did tonight? I’m not so sure but I am certain characters like Alexis Sanchez can do that.

Maze,

I think this may be the first whole post of yours I’ve agreed with.

Very good post Maze completely agree on the Sanchez part and believe he will be a top signing for us.
