It’s just my opinion but I think Sanchez signing for you guys is going to disrupt the squad. It is only natural that if someone new turns up in a work place to do the same job as you but you find out he is picking up 2/ 3/ 4 times the wages you do I think you would feel a bit peed off and a little resentment against him would you not? I know I would! Maybe the likes of Pogba, Lukaku, lindgard, martial, De Gea might be thinking of knocking on the managers door and asking for a rise or asking if Sanchez is 2/ 3/ 4 times better than them to be getting paid that sort of money. Don’t get me wrong, Sanchez is a great player but not 2/ 3/ 4 times as good as the players I mentioned. Time will tell I guess but you might be hearing of a few falling outs coming from the dressing room over the rest of the season especially if you start to loose a few games.

21 Jan 2018 08:44:34
Fallings out over a world class player arriving? Nonesense, Ibrahimovic arrived with an outrageous contract no fallings our last year. I’m pretty the players you mentioned will be happy with the sanchez arrival.

3.) 21 Jan 2018
21 Jan 2018 08:49:38
He’s not going to be on 3 or 4 times the salary of De Gea, Pogba, Lukaku tho is he.

4.) 21 Jan 2018
21 Jan 2018 09:03:46
Yup agree Stand 🤣.

5.) 21 Jan 2018
21 Jan 2018 09:28:16
Maybe not2/ 3 times but even twice the salary!
Still think some will be miffed about it. De Gea should be the highest paid as he’s the best in the world in his position the rest are not the best in the world in theirs. You should be paying De Gea what ever he wants as he’s the guy that’s got you to 2nd in the league. Any other keeper in that team you would be at least 7/ 8/ 9 points worse off. Let’s wait and see😏.

6.) 21 Jan 2018
21 Jan 2018 09:48:06
Falling out over salaries they will never be able to spend? Football is not like normal life and footballers at the top of their profession do not live hand to mouth, I don't think there will be a procession of players looking to renegotiate their already incredibly generous remuneration.

7.) 21 Jan 2018
21 Jan 2018 09:54:46
You should start worrying about Salah before you even look across the Mersey river. He might just be the next exit with a big fat paycheck. 🤣🤣🤣.

8.) 21 Jan 2018
21 Jan 2018 09:59:07
Must have missed a few days ago where Jose said they were offering Dave the Save a new contract. Pretty sure that'll include a pay rise. Pogba is currently the highest paid player at the club. Zlatans on big wages. Jesse's last contract put him at 120k a week. Hardly like any of them are on YTS wages now is it.

9.) 21 Jan 2018
21 Jan 2018 10:08:53
At Barca, Real and PSG there is big difference of salaries where 2 or 3 players are earning more, but still no dressing room disruption.

Why should disruption happen at Utd with wrong quoted figures of Sanchez salary. He will be earning insigne money but not at the figure quoted.

10.) 21 Jan 2018
21 Jan 2018 10:27:42
Mort, De Gea is probably being offered a new contract but now with Sanchez getting paid 400/ 500k a week then it just gives De Gea and his agent the upper hand when it comes to negotiating his wages. If the club are willing to pay him that and he’s only just arrived then what you going to pay me since I’ve been here for 6 odd years and have earned it is what they’ll be saying. It’s going to set a president and other players will do the same.
Yes they get paid stupid amounts of money but they are normal human beings all the same and it’s human nature to want more. I’m pretty sure not one person in the world would say ( you no what, I get paid loads of money so don’t want the extra 3/ 5/ 10 percent pay rise I’m seeing everybody else ask for, just pay me the same amount for the rest of my time with the company/ club/ firm etc.
Get real!

{Ed002's Note - It really doesn't work like that. You would dso much better to ignore the financial aspects of the game.}

11.) 21 Jan 2018

JRC08
The old "without DeGea" argument, do you know something? without Aguero City wouldn't have had their Aguerrrooooo moment and won the league that year and without Dalglish and the back pass rule Liverpool would have had a lot less titles?

12.) 21 Jan 2018
21 Jan 2018 10:43:33
Wouldnt be the worst thinng in the world if pogba and de gea renewed their contracts to avoid a situation like sanchez and ozil at arsenal.

I am sure woody and his team are more than capable of managing the wage budget.

If you look at the likes of real madrid and barcelona, they have managed to fill their squad with youth players or lesser known players on lower wages to ensure they can pay their big guys top dollar. Guys like nacho, jese, morata, pedro, sergi roberto, sandro and munir have all at certain points contributed.

That is probably why its imperative the likes of tuanzebe, fosu mensah, joel pereira, andrea pereira are persisted with.

13.) 21 Jan 2018
21 Jan 2018 10:51:41
georgieworst, I think you’ve just backed up my point.
The two players you mentioned were the best players in their teams at the time therefore did better than without them. That’s what I said about De Gea is it not? 🤔
The back pass rule? Really! Were Liverpool the only team to use that rule and that’s why they won so many titles?
🙄😂.

14.) 21 Jan 2018
21 Jan 2018 11:21:53
i would worry about your dutch donkey 1 game and injured and you only paid 75 mill.

15.) 21 Jan 2018
21 Jan 2018 11:41:18
Dutch donkey? Better defender than any at utd.
What’s his cost got to do with anything? I’m sure utd players get injured too and some cost more than VVD did. Injuries are part of playing a physical game so happen from time to time. We won’t need him when we come to Old Trafford anyway as you’ll be camped in your half so won’t need defenders that day👍😂.

16.) 21 Jan 2018
21 Jan 2018 11:48:36
Classic Liverpool fans win one game against city and you all come crawling out from under your rocks. Let me guess, next year will be your year?

17.) 21 Jan 2018
21 Jan 2018 11:52:53
But he's not being paid 300-400k a week though is he. Stop failing for media bs.

And the Dutch Gary Cahill isn't better than Bailly or Jones now is he.

18.) 21 Jan 2018
21 Jan 2018 12:10:56
VVD is bang average. His positional play is awful. Southampton had Liverpool’s pants down again.

19.) 21 Jan 2018
21 Jan 2018 12:17:47
Funny how Liverpool fans like to talk about United without DDG and when we talk about Liverpool, they will get triggered. Do you expect DDG to not save shots just to prove your point? For that matter, what is the job of a goalkeeper? To prevent goals.

20.) 21 Jan 2018
21 Jan 2018 12:30:18
Cyclo they are not used to their keepers saving shots.

21.) 21 Jan 2018
21 Jan 2018 12:46:44
JRC08.
I backed up your argument? I did the opposite and showed it up for the nonsense it is. DeGea is a goalkeeper and one of the best in the world if not the best, his job is to stop the opposition scoring and he does this with aplomb. Should Utd employ a lesser goalkeeper just to make the likes of you feel better about the nonsense you peddle?

22.) 21 Jan 2018
21 Jan 2018 13:00:44
georgieworst. I think you need to read my original post about ddg again. I did actually say he is your best player and the best in his position in the world so since that is the case he should be the highest payed player at the club. Not Sanchez who is going to arrive as the highest paid player. Ddg will do more for the team than anyone else and that’s why I think he should be paid the most. He is your MVP and should be rewarded for it. Nothing to do with Liverpool keepers, defenders or anything else. That’s my opinion whether you agree or not then that’s up to you.

23.) 21 Jan 2018
21 Jan 2018 13:07:38
well said georgieworst.

24.) 21 Jan 2018
21 Jan 2018 13:13:53
Goalkeepers and defenders are never going to be paid as much as the more creative players. Very naive argument.

25.) 21 Jan 2018
21 Jan 2018 13:29:20
JRC08 why does it matter to you or anybody else for that matter, what our club pays our players? There seems to be a huge uproar at how United conduct their wage structure. Its their money and they can pay as much or as little to who they please. And for that matter, if you really believe sanchez will be receiving £400,000-£500,000 a week then you will probably believe that the world is flat. Yes he will be handsomely paid but if Liverpool were signing him I am sure you would have no problems with what he is being paid because 'you have to pay for the best'. Shall I remind you that your club has just paid £75m for a defender. So going by your argument, you have contributed to the inflation of the market where buying a cb will cost much more than previously as you have set the bar so high. There is too much money in the game, we can all agree that. But don't come on here and spout nonsense.

26.) 21 Jan 2018
21 Jan 2018 13:39:01
Hahaha I think the scousers are upset at our signing lads, look at that above, wonderful to see.

27.) 21 Jan 2018
21 Jan 2018 13:43:06
Now you all know why Ed002 doesn’t get into the financials? It’s because of clueless, lost and blind supporters like the one above who thinks they can go around to start an argument when and talk like they know all the details. That’s why people read what they want to read and talk what they don’t know what they are talking 🤣🤣. You should stop when you are down JRC. Don’t make yourself an already big laughing stock of yourself 🤣😂.

28.) 21 Jan 2018
21 Jan 2018 13:49:41
Ye I’ll stop now. Not that I’m down but because my net is full🎣😘.

29.) 21 Jan 2018
21 Jan 2018 12:08:10
Now come on, if you honestly think Phil ( hey you guys) Jones is a better defender than VVD then you need to give your head a wobble. Fair enough I’ll say Bailly is probably on par with him but Jones😂😂. You must be a comedian.

30.) 21 Jan 2018
21 Jan 2018 12:10:13
JR08 Physical game? 😂😂😂.

31.) 21 Jan 2018
21 Jan 2018 14:02:25
How can your next is full when you come here to a fish market? We decide the price of fish and who can sell fish? We decide that you are really a fishmonger selling bad fish 🤣😂.
The only thing I can commend you is that you are a little different from Mighty Reds. But then again you both are from the same boat of fishy fish? 🤣🤣 try to be smart. 👋.

32.) 21 Jan 2018
21 Jan 2018 14:27:13
What a load of rubbish about Sanchez disrupting the squad.
Never heard someone say something that is so stupid and completely out of touch.
Players get paid what they are worth and their team mates generally accept this and only look for better terms when it’s time to extend and re-negotiate contracts which involves other people.
Sanchez will be happy at Utd because he will be in a far superior squad to that of Arsenal and challenging for honours and playing in the CL.
The other players will be glad to have his quality in the team and for the competition for places.
Also Miki is going the other way and so the squad size remains the same. Rashford, Martial and Lingard will all benefit training and playing alongside Sanchez.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion but what total nonsense!

21 Jan 2018 15:05:20
Just finished reading the article in the Mail too from Oliver Holt. if you've not read it you should, one of the best I've read, where he basically says he doesn't get the outpouring of "outrage and sanctimony" directed at United and that in fact we've got ourselves a "steal" - I couldn't agree more!

I do find the view from the outside looking in on what we're doing interesting. especially the ex pros and the fans. jealousy is such a poor quality :)

Seriously though, and more importantly, the playing field following the Neymar deal has changed. and the top players at Spurs at Liverpool, City and Chelsea, and more importantly their agents. will be taking note.

I think those fans need to worry about their own clubs holding onto their best talent and not worry about what we can afford to pay.

34.) 21 Jan 2018
21 Jan 2018 15:21:39
666red, that’s a lot of fishy talk right there.
You score last night and not washed your hands yet😏.

35.) 21 Jan 2018
21 Jan 2018 15:39:25
Good point Scot 👍 and fully agree with you on your last paragraph.
Pure jealousy and maybe fear too? 🤣🤣
I must say that people are starting to imagine what Man Utd will become with such a solid signing. I would imagine if we have another 1 or 2 more summer signings to complete the “Jose’s team” and start the next season’s campaign!
Devils on the warpath! 🤣🤣.

36.) 21 Jan 2018
21 Jan 2018 16:01:15
Agree JRC and thank you for acknowledgment.
We scored. Period.
3 points. Next please 😉😂.
You fishing 🎣 me? 🤣🤣 bye bye 👋.
