The same people who slate Mourinho for going defensive are now loving 'good old school italian defending', tell you one thing, if Mourinho had his team winning 1-0 like Spurs in the 2nd half, he wouldn't have bottled it like Pochettino's just done, he looked dumbfounded when Allegri made his changes, NEVER compare Poch and Senor Jose again☝🏻.

It's a fact of life that one can only get experience by having experiences to learn from like Spurs had tonight. The key question is whether they learn from it and next time when in a similar position can deal with the it but get a positive outcome. This applies to the players and manager equally. In a way its why Utd are struggling too. We don't have many players in our team who have won a champions league or league title. The difference between Spurs going through or going out was 3 minutes. At the very top level it's often about small margins and the top coaches and players having the experience and skill to take advantage when a chance arises. Overall Spurs outplayed Juve. Against City, Liverpool, Barca, Madrid or Bayern I think Juve ageing team might be overwhelmed because the managers of those teams will go for the jugular. Against us as we are I think Jose would be cautious. He still has not got the full team he wants. If we went out of the competition against them it wouldn't be for lack of experience.

Thing is, the first leg was pretty much the opposite. Juve in control, then Spurs came back at them. Nobody was saying Juve were inexperienced etc, it's just how it goes. Easily could have been a Spurs win.

Hendon,

Of the teams that have got through so far I would want us to draw Juventus, I could see us causing them quite a few problems.

Making me laugh how Poch needs experience to be a good manager, didn't Jose win the CL in his first season in it?

But it wasn't beast. Not only could it have been a sours win it should have been. Yes it was close but its amazing how many times when things ade close that its the most experienced team that wins through in the end. because they can call in their experiences both the good ones and the bad.
