Youhave applaud players regardless of who they play for. Salah has been phenomenal this season.

It's between Salah and De Bruyne for player of the year. Ederson has also made a huge difference to this City team and Stones has really stepped up. Which is something I didn't think he would do, but he has massively improved his defensive game this season.

{Ed001's Note - the Stones that has been dropped for not being good enough, that Stones? He has not stepped up which is why he got dropped.}

I hope salah tears it up at emptyhad too, with maybe liverpool getting madrid or Barcelona in semis, salah scores the goals, the Madrid or Barcelona take the win. Then in summer Madrid can come in get salah the dream move he was fishing for in jan.

Couldn’t agree more ed I think stones is so overrated. He can’t get into the city team, although Kompany and otamendi are good players. I feel that stones got his move to city far too soon. He would have benefitted far more from learning the art of defending and positioning from a Dyche type of manager and then learnt the distribution from pep. He would had a much stronger foundation and understanding of the defensive side of the game. Would have been some player.

Salah has been unreal this year. Hats off to the lad I never thought he would be like this. It’s very painful to say but you have to give credit where it is due.

{Ed001's Note - exactly what I think with Stones, right coach for him, but just not the right time.}

It's great that he can play out from the back, it's not that he has a dropped bollock in him. (God that sounds awful)

{Ed001's Note - his passing isn't good enough. He dawdles on the ball, rather than plays out from the back. People seem to be confused by any centre half who takes their time on the ball, into thinking that makes them a ball playing centre half. Most of them are just a hindrance who end up losing possession, like Stones. He does not have the range of passing to do what Pep wants, which is why he is dropped. Good technique, first touch etc, but his passing is not that good.}

Stones is still a player with potential. Not done anything yet to justify the hype and fee. Been poor for 2 seasons now but does have time on his side. Will he ever make a really top player? That depends on a lot of factors but he still looks well short so far.

Any defender will look okay in that in team because of the amount of possesion they have.

The majority of their defensive hard work is done by the players infront of their defense such as Fernandinho.

Even Delph has looked okay in that team and he's not even a defender.

Stones is great on the ball but can’t defend.
He has made mistakes for both club and country.
Probably a player who is more suited to a back 3.

Walker is quick with a physique but he can’t defend and is regularly out of position. He gets into good positions going forward because of his pace but rarely delivers an end product. Trippier defends better and also has better delivery. Spurs must have been laughing when they got over £50M for Walker.
