Wow Ed001 very interesting review I must say. 👍
Where do I start?
RM vs Juventus: accusation of bribery to ref? What a joke. The way I feel is if you are not happy with the pen decision then be very careful about your tackling in the box. Players will make the most of it and if you verbally abuse the ref he has the authority to red card you. If you don’t want a red then behave! We all know every situation is depending on circumstances and who the ref is and his experience. We all know refs are never consistent.
Spurs goal - Kane or Eriksen: I saw the skies-mo replay and am convinced it was Eriksen’s. It was a bad decision to give to Kane as even if his hair touched the ball it’s no a convincing touch. Bad decision by FA. Shows even the people up there are not consistent. So what if he wants to catch Salah on the Golden Boot but that’s not the way to win. It will be a smudged boot if Kane won by that.
Liverpool punishment: I think the punishment should be a strong one so that the club can also punish the fans for such low or no class action. The win over Citeh would have been sweet if not for such moronic actions. Shows these fans still belong to the Stone Age. They need to grow up.
Pep’s punishment: he should be punished very strong and FA should also punish him for PL games so it will be consistent with UEFA decision. Managers will then understand their actions represent the club and if they can’t behave who else can the football authorities expect to behave? Players like Buffon can also curse and swear at the ref? They’re only following their managers’ example.
Roma’s manager gesture: Whilst his celebration was disrespectful his accepted the punishment and did a great gesture to pay for the fountain reno. Respectful guy . 👍👏
Apologies long response.

{Ed001's Note - I would totally agree with you apart from the Real Madrid thing, for two reasons. One we have all seen how refs favour them and you can't just not make challenges because the refs favour them or you will get walked over.
Secondly if any team knows the signs of refs being paid off or pressured into decisions it is Juve. So I would suggest they are using the voice of experience and seeing signs there. Whether or not they are correct, I wouldn't know about that as I have never bribed anyone. However they are clearly given preferential treatment in both Spanish football and European football, they have had so much help off the govt there etc, it is difficult not to feel they have an unfair advantage. They certainly knowingly used Dr Fuentes for a large number of years, so they are not averse to doing whatever it takes to get results.}

Ed and Red, all I can say is United V Real when Nani got sent off. Never a sending off and yet the Turkish ref was as bent as anything. It goes on far too often and I see Barcelona (and unfortunately City players nowadays) falling every time they lose the ball and 99 times out of 100 the ref blows for a foul.
I have been harping on about Barcelona doing this for years.

{Ed001's Note - any Spaniard who does not support one of the big two will tell you the same thing, it is not a level playing field and never has been.}

And if I remember correctly Casemiro should have seen red last year.

The top teams always seem to get beneficial treatment, especially in the eyes of the lesser teams. Nothing new there. Referees were/ are constantly accused of favoring us, or Chelsea, and now Man City. It doesn't need bribery to make it happen.

Be that as it may, I thought last night's decision was correct. 50-50 was the best one can say of it from a Juve point of view.

Agreed AAA.
The most important of games (maybe every game) depends on unbiased refereeing but it’s difficult especially when it involves money and fame.
We all are sick of the rubbery legs of players these days and yes they make the most of it even our Ronaldo. They must feel that they are so famous that refs should be protecting them. Sad these days.
