Time to lighten the mood a little. I had a dream last night telling me that I had been chosen to pick and manage an all time utd 11. As I am pushing 60 I can't be doing with these fancy formations so I am going with an old fashioned 4 2 4. My 11 is.

Big Pete edges dave because of the way he used to dominate the penalty box in a way that ddg doesn't. I wanted 2 reliable solid full backs that focused on their defensive responsibilities. Centre backs I wanted a strong physical copy and one with pace. Best and ronaldo pick themselves. Nuff said. Central midfield I have gone back in time. Charlton is quite simply the best British midfielder I ever saw. Everything the modern so called greats such as gerard could do with 1 foot he could do with either foot and the fact that he remained our and England's lead scorer for so long speaks for itself. Sir Bobby says the question he is asked most often is how good was Duncan Edwards,? . He always answers by saying that he was the 1 player that made him feel totally inferior . Everything he could do well Duncan could do better. Terry venables remarked that whereas Bobby Moore was a great player he was no Duncan Edwards and that if he had lived he had little doubt that Duncan would have been the one to lift the world cup. Even though none of us probably saw him play no all time utd team would be complete without him.
The front 2 caused me a lot of thought as my heart said that I had to find a place for Denis law. Cantona was an easy pick because of his skill vision and imagination. With so much creativity in the team i felt that to complete it i needed a ruthless finisher and so with a heavy heart I have gone for ruud over Denis.
I have asked sir Alex to be my assistant haha.
Anyway that is my team which I am sure some will pull to pieces but hey whatever it's all about opinions.

Gds2 - I was picking a team to play against the op. So I couldn't have g nev. Was really stuck for alternatives. I would pick the same team as the op.

Ive never seen shay brennan so if he was better than valencia I will take people's word for it.
