Well today shows again what we are missing all season, 2 full backs a centre back and a strong midfielder. Pogba is over rated and Sanchez offers very little. The purchase of 2 attacking full backs will be such a bonus. I do think we have the attacker s despite our performance, it down to the poor supply for me. If the team started the game as they played in the 25 mins in the second we would have won, why do we need to concealed to speed up our play . so frustrating.

Smalling for 1 played well today 1 of the few to do ok first half .
First choice cb or maybe Jose just putting him in the shop window 🤣🤣 bailly and lindelof still behind him .
Chelsea didn't do much up top really .

Poor team performance first half, shape and tactics all over the place better second half .
90 minutes of football zero goals scored . Must be the defense.

Singh you do know that posters on here don't pick the team . I get u don't like the CBS but there's loads of options and the guy picking the side likes them best at the minute.
Are they the greatest CBS in the world . nope, are they going to concede goals by the bucketful . nope. Are the fullbacks quite solid defending, yeah, do they contribute anything to the attack . nope there a bit pants at that . We would all buy new defenders and other positions aswell . We lost through two things a defensive error by Jones and our failure to score a goal again.

Singh Jones and Smalling are average but I remember the great genius we have as a manager buying 2 cb's both were fit, wonder why he doesn't pick them, must be Jones and Smalling's fault.

Sanchez gave 100%. Pogba was better in the second half. Chelsea played for the own, took the lead and then sat back. The Italian sam allardyce will still get sacked though.

Valencia, Smalling, Jones, Young is our staring back 4 and they are all stealing a living as a united player, we are seriously in trouble if this is what is seen as good enough for this club. I’m sick of seeing ‘but we’ve only conceded this amount’ yes because we’ve a world class keeper bailing them out all the time, it’s not a good defence when DDG is up there with relegated keepers for most shots saved. No cohesion up top, little tempo or speed and all season I’ve been waiting for it to click but it hasn’t sadly, Pogba and Sanchez cannot be in the same team together amd we are still 5 players and £300m of investment away from competing.
What baffles me most is for a club with the tradition and ethos of pretty much our entire history we’ve employed Moyes, LVG and Jose in succession, managers as far away from out ethos as you can get.
I will back Jose and have since day 1 to get it right but this style of football is wearing thin now.

just watched Eintracht Frankfurt beat Bayern in German cup final.2 teams having a go, it had everythng . although the ref used VAR a lot. inclding a comedy goal in 96th minute- Bayern keeper went up for corner in 95th min at 1-2,frankfurt player won the ball on edge of own area and ran the length of the pitch with about 15 subs and squad players running along side him on the touchline . brilliant .

Wheras again we played like 11 strangers,8-9 of them looked like they wish they were somewhere else.

Some big problems at United, no cohesion, no plan and an awful lot of papering over cracks.

Poor team performance today in the first half must be smalling fault . One of the few players to play well today .
Ddg made 1 save today.

But buy buy, shiney new toys like Miki linders bailly pogba Sanchez all struggled really .
I think we have gone backwards as a team since we bought the world Class Sanchez. That's probably goings fault.

Smalling is a good enough defender. Jones is unfortunately nowhere near good enough for us and no idea how he’s got a seat on the plane to the World Cup.

Down the flanks, especially the right hand side we offer absolutely zero attacking threat at all, and not quite sure why we don’t try Rashford or Sanchez down there to offer something.

Another match cements my decision to not renew, and to not go today. It’s not entertaining or fun in the slightest and wit be until Jose hanged his spots (sure) or we bring in someone who wants to have a go and attack.

Dullest final I’ve seen in years. Chelsea were even worse than us but grinded out the win so congrats to them.

I think Sanchez is the one thing I'd cut Jose a bit of slack on . When we were linked with ozil the vast majority wondered if it was possible to get Sanchez instead, he looked arsenal's player we coveted the most .
Nobody I doubt could have seen how bad he would be upto now and whatever the flaws in the tactics he has struggled in lots of games to make the most basic of passes despite appearing to try hard.
Jose was on a hiding to nothing whatever he did, if he took him out the team a good while ago and tried to work on tactics and confidence the minute we lost a game Jose would get pelters such as why did we lose with the big wages guy not even in the team, so he chose to keep playing him hoping he would improve, but that's fired up the martial thing as he may have had some indifferent games but not to the same degree as Sanchez.
I hope we do lots of work in the summer with him and his team mates as to what we are actually trying to do and hopefully his confidence picks up and he will look more like the player many of us hoped for.

I'm not really sure how we are utilising him jred, he duznt look too sure either, looks to me like a load of work on the training ground is needed on what we are actually trying to do when attacking I struggle to see what we actually work on . Hopefully Jose is going to make it a bit clearer to the players during the summer as it surely can't be going to plan attacking wise.

I'm taking a guess the plan is two wide attackers play very narrow and use the two fullbacks for the width . But why persist with that when it's clearly not what the two fullbacks you keep selecting are any good at . Get new ones in and try it again I get, but why have we not changed that plan this season when we either haven't got the fullbacks to do that or don't select them . It's been pretty obvious for a long time we lack the width and that's not young and Valencia's strong points so why have we kept doing it. I think we need lots of training ground work on attacking in particular .

Nou don't you know Sanchez runs a lot, so what if he gives the ball away a 100 times, has no pace and looks more and more like Rooney, he runs around a lot so all is forgiven. Martial created more chances and threatened Chelsea more in his 20 mins than rashford, Sanchez and lingard combined in their whole time on field, but since he doesn't run like a brainless idiot he is going to be sold while the twit from Portugal is practically begging fellaini to stay.
