Who thinks Romelu Lukaku isn't the type of striker that will win us the champions league.

I think he lqcks that something extra which scares teams and he doesn't give me the impr3ssion that he will score a goal in crucial stages of the champions league to win us games.

Before people start shooting down i know he improv3d drastically this year but i just don't have full confidence in him to win us the big games.

We should swap him for Morata. We looked twice the side when he was out injured. Could have won the league if we didn’t sign him.

Lukaku has worked hard for the team, and done well this year, but you are right, he does not have that extra touch of genius that the very best strikers have. You all know that feeling when an Aguero or a Hazard get on the ball in the final third and you are praying for the moment to pass. He has had a good year, though, let's see if he can continue to progress.

Lukaku was held up as a candidate for out outfield player of the season and one of Mourinho's successful signings by many.

Well until the special one threw him under the bus and blamed him for us losing the FA cup at least. Now he isn't good enough. Lol.

The great one has just spent 80 mill on lukaku .
Prob been our best outfield player playing as a striker in a team that doesn't create a massive amount.

Has now got his first season under his belt and at 25 should really kick on .
And people want to sell him?
Hasn't been at the club 12 month.

I wasn’t impressed when we signed him but I think he has improved as the season has progressed. His work rate is phenomenan and with a different style I think he would have scored a hatful more.

Disagree Singh. Guy would score bucket loads in the right system. 27 goals whilst feeding of scraps is a very good return. I’ve been really impressed with his attitude and passion. Would have preferred morata at the beginning of the season but very happy with Rom. Would like to see us play three at the back next season and 2 up top so we get someone closer to rom and play off him more. Rashford/ Sanchez or my choice martial would be pretty devastating next Lukaku.

I think he is good enough if we improve elsewhere. Most importantly the way we play needs to suit him. We are very very poor crossing the ball and from corners. We have nobody buzzing around him so he can pick up on the loose balls, and have 3-4 decent chances a game. He has 1-2 maximum, our chances are mainly pot shots from outside the box.

I can't remember when we last caused mayhem consistently in an opposition box. We used to look like we would get penalties at will a few years ago, we don't ever look like winning one at the minute - so that is hard for a striker if everything is played so far away from where you can be effective. He is always picked up by 2 players as well because we don't commit enough men forward.

We need to play to his strengths and he will be just fine. I'd like him to be better on the ball, but he adds a lot to other areas - we just don't know how to get the best out of any striker, not just Lukaku. I won't repeat myself as to why that is.

Speechless. Lukaku has had a great first season. Some people need to compare him to Brazil, Davenport and Birtles to really appreciate a poor first season for a striker. Unbelievable!
