Imo he is been garbage this tournament, I still don't understand why Madrid wants to get rid of Navas. He is clearly world class.

I've always thought he looks so much more nervous playing for Spain. Plus, I've never seen him as a great penalty stopper either. I can only remember him saving a couple for us.

He is no penalty expert but I remember him saving a few for us Noucamp and that's enough for me. He saves most others for us and we don't concede too many penalties so no problem.
Now let's hope this dip in form is well and truly out of his system by August we get the best keeper in the world back by the season starter.

Lastly Navas is world class. Fishing? If not then I think your standards are low Remanutd.

DDG is a great shot stopper, best in the world. But he is a big fairy if we are being honest, he doesn't command his area, and he seems to bottle it a lot. He pulls his head if he thinks there is any power in something, almost closes his eyes. He was awful today for those penalties.

Love having him as our keeper, but he is not perfect and he doesn't spread confidence around him either - which doesn't help our often clumsy CB's. Hopefully these are the areas he will improve as he gets older, obviously he is a skinny guy and bulking up will lose that edge for shot stopping - but he needs to man up at times for me, keepers should put the fear into an attacker in an ideal world.

He doesn't command his box are you joking?

And as for not putting fear into attackers beast that's just a load of garbage pal.

There's a reason he's been the best keeper in the world for the past few years and it's not for being what you described.

Beast. I've been saying this for some time. Best shot stopper around but doesn't command his area and doesn't communicate with his defence.
Bolger, when was the last time you saw ddg come out and collect a cross?

Watching De Gea for Spain is like watching a completely different person. As mentioned above, perhaps he doesn’t feel comfortable or is affected by the criticism from the Spanish press. I hope he has now realised that United is his home and he can become one of our greatest keepers.

As a shot stopper, he is unrivalled. Truly remarkable some of the saves he pulls off. But his commanding of his box needs some work. I don’t think he is quite as timid or poor as some people think, but he does need to improve. I’ve always thought that he never looks intimidating for a penalty taker when he faces penalties. You see neuer who looks like a giant in goal or subasic and Schmeichel tonight who intimidate the taker. De Gea needs to be a bit more nasty and let his nasty streak out. He needs to show the defence his is the boss. Still, he is the best keeper in the world for me still and I can’t wait to see him playing for us in August again.
