If Pogba goes and if we don't sign Savic to replace it then we wouldve made a mistake by not resigning Ronaldo.

The only reason Pogba should go is if we get a equally good replacement like Savic or Verrati otherwise we shoudnt sell him.

Our transfer committee need to be making decisions quickly and not end up in a situation where Pogba is unhappy and we end up selling him eithout a equally good replacement.

There is a transfer committee? I thought Woodward opened pages of a Panini sticker album at random then rolled a couple of dice to decide how much we should over pay for whichever random player we don't need.

pogba is already unhappy hense eds comment on him happy to part ways,

we can't just be throwing 100 million at a player who would take up 2 players worth of wages adding agent fees and bonuses, it was never logical to buy Ronaldo unless the fee was massively dropped

yeah he's still a top player but he's 33.

i do agree we would need to replace pogba but as many go on he's not done much that needs replacing. me personally would not sell him i think it would be stupid but that is just Jose for you, he is renowned to lose players its happened countless times.

no one wants to pay the asking price for pogba so i can't see him going unless its in a swap deal and tbh the only deal i would want is one that included both bale and kroos. (but that's fantasy talk)

im sure the manager outlined his targets early enough but we shouldn't be just making transfers for the sake of it.

we have panicked bought enough times.

Players come and go i have no sentiment attached. I don't care about the money being spent either as you don't know exactly how much a player costs so let's not get into the financial side of things that's for the club to worry about.

I only care about a player leaving without being replaced with an equally good player. Everyone and his dog knows how good Pogba is and can be it is just him playing to his potential and working hard.

I want the club to win next year or at the very last challenge properly for the title and not get embarassed like how they were this year.

I don't think Kroos is the answer to our problems and Bale isn't trustworthy for not getting injured in a few games.

We have so far signed Dalot and Fred?

One is for the future and the other one most of us don't know anything about.

Unless you guys are happy with us being second or possibly even be lower down in the table again then we are definitely doing a great job of achieving that.

Is Fred the replacement?

Why is pogba unhappy.

We need to stop acting like we are Real Madrid and realise reality.

Real Madrid have a clear plan of who they want when they want their project completed by.

They only target the best players around the world and have option for each target they miss out on.

We need to have a clear understanding of what we want to do as a club and achieve by a certain date.

I totally agree with the eds that we messed it up by not continuing with our project of getting Allegiri and ended up shoving all our transfer plans and then ended up signing Mourinho half heartedly.

Either back the manager fully with a clear plan or get rid of him. Our decision making has been a joke and that is going to bite us in the back for a very long time.

Fred isn't the replacement accorsing to ed and i hope we end this Pogba saga soon otherwise we will mis out on a good replacement for him.

Pogba was never happy to come to us we were like his only option at the time as Real Madrid and the others decided he was too expensive.

It is nothing new that Pogba is unhappy we were never his first choice so it is nothing to do with us it is more to do with his own preference of choice.

Singh ed alluded that kroos is joses preffered midfielder. That to me is enough of a worry kroos maybe a great passer but is also slow and at times lazy. U add fellaini and matic in would there be a less mobile midfield around. I know we still have fred and herrera but really strength and power is needed. Liverpool steam rolled most midfields last year and have completely rebuilt it this summer. We can't keep buying players to replace them a season or 2 later.

We were after 2 midfielders before pogba came into the equation.

Kroos is not Pogba's replacement unless we decide to change our style of play.

Let's not act like Pogba leaving is a foregone conclusion. He is our player, and a very good one. Some of you seem to be in quite a hurry to rush him out the door. We should appreciate what we have in Pogba.

Hello fellow posters, hope everyone is doing fine, and hope that all of you enjoyed the World Cup.

My post is for Singh. Mate, I don’t have anything against you, or the way you feel for the Club, your posts are mostly on point and I always enjoy reading your perspective about the game. But your recent post is a bit shambolic and a bit of an overreaction, friend. Ronaldo left Madrid because of whatever reason and the fact that United didn’t go for him was good for our Club in the long run. Yes, you’d argue that he would have gotten the fear factor with him and would have won the league on his own. Agreed, he would have, he would have done that for one year, maybe two… what after that? You’d re-build again? Buy a player for 100 quid, get two seasons out of him and then what? You’ve obviously spent a portion of your budget on that one player, in the search for instant success, but after that?

You’d argue that it’s not your money and yes, it isn’t. But that’s not the point, it’s not about who’s money is being spent, it’s all about getting the right players that club needs. Players that will help the club build for sustained success, not a stop-gap. Ronaldo, unfortunately, even though he might be one of the best players in the world, is a stop-gap.

As far as the Pogba conundrum goes, maybe he wants out, maybe is fed up with the way we play and the constant criticism that he is getting; one from the media and second from his own manager. You and I, might never know the truth. We, the fans and the media expect him to do wonders everytime he steps on the pitch, or to score goals, and not simple ones, but audacious ones. We all expect him to rise above and win matches for us single handedly. I think, he is not that player, at least not right now. Whether it makes sense for us to stay patient and help him rather than throw him to the dogs is one that the management needs to make. But, if I were them, I’d be happy to have him in our team and give him all the support that he get, so that he can play well. And guess who will benefit if he does play well? United, of course.

We’ve got about 3 weeks of the transfer window still left, and like all fans, I’m hoping to wake up one day and see that United have bought a player and that player is someone that we all wanted. But, I guess one needs to be patient and understand that transfers are complex, and anything that is complex, takes time to finish.

Thanks,

I agree with you Raghav but ny issue witht the club is they arr not clear with their decision making.

They have appointed a manager who has identified tranfer targets which the club are hesitant in pursuing.

My issue is why did United go for Mourinho if they arr not backing him with certain players.

They clearly knew Mourinho prefers certain type of players and either you back thr manager or appoint the manager that is on the same wavelength as you.

The fault clearly lays with the club and their decision making. We are mow in a situation which we are better off getting rid of Mourinho if he isn't going to be backed properly by the club and the players.

We are kind of stuck in the middle neither here or there which isn't going to good for United's long term future. The more we continue like this the slower the progress we will make for the long term.

Singh
What are you on about
Jose first season
Miki gone
Pogba wants out
Ibra gone
Bailly struggling to get a game .

Second season
Lukaku done well imo you want him sold
Lindelof can't get a game
Sanchez really poor start
Matic done well .

The club have back Jose but so far the signings haven't worked out.

Pogba was 100% a jose signing a player he wanted and wanted at Chelsea. To club broke the world transfer record for him .
How's that worked out so far.

Jred, so why aren’t questions being asked? “Look Mr Mourinho, we broke the world record for this guy and you want to sell him. We bought you a great CB who you have fallen it with. We bought you the Bundesliga’s player of the year and you swapped him for a player who appears not to know his arse from his elbow. And how about this other CB who you never play? As you sure you know ant you are doing? ” It may be harsh but I’m not sure.

I don't wqnt lukaku sold i just don't think he's a striker who will score that importwnt champions league final goal yet but this may change with experience.

You can see how good Miki has beenhes had attitude issues even before he came to us.

Most of his signings have work3d apart from Pogba and Miki. You can't really say much about Lindelof it was his first year in english football.

You can judge Lindelof this year if he flops.

The signings Mourinho wishes and hasn't yet got them here are players like Neymar, Perisic, top cbs such as Varane, Alderwereld, Rose, Sandro, willian and loads more he probably wouldve wanted. I am nit saying these are the right signings but these are the signings he probably wished to make.

Bailly wasnt even at the top of our list and i think he was like 3rd choice forJose and club so technically we got our third choice cb.

He wants certain players out but the club are over vauluing players which will be difficult for them to find any suitable buyers.

This will turn ugly if things are not fuxed quickly enough. We are a long way from winning the title if we end up selling Pogba and don't sign any top replacements.

The most critical positions haven't been signed such as a new cb, lb and a right winger and we are on the other hand thinking of selling Pogba without getting a equally good player.

That's ridiculous .
"Loads more he probably wanted "
On top of neymar and co? Messi pele maradona

That's a question and I think one that's being asked.

Pogba is not going anywhere. Whatever anyone say. I don't believe it for a second. He may be offered by his agent beside his knowledge. But he will not leave. and will have his best season in United Shirt.
