People moaning about signing Maguire for a large fee and based off the back of the World Cup may forget we paid a world record fee for Ferdinand in 2002 pretty much based off the back of his World Cup performance and that didn’t turn out to bad a signing! Think he’d be great in a back 3 of Bailly and Lindelof although can’t see us going 3 at the back.

We didn't sign Rio because of one world cup. he'd been training with England since Euro 96 and captained Leeds to ecl semi final. Hardly an uknown. Maguire would have been great 15 years ago. Football has moved on. To me, he hasn't got the brain to play at the highest level. Waste of money at the sums being talked about.
