I don't post that much at the moment.

I visit the site about 20 times a day though and read all comments.

I don't feel i can add anything that's not already been said. And it might sound like a cop-out but my opinion sits between the 'doom n gloomers' and the jose 'fanboys'.

Im nervous about this coming season, more nervous than ever b4 (apart from before moyes first season) .

Its not a good nerves, i'm actually a little worried but im. not even sure why.

Am i alone with this feeling?

EZRS, I think there’s a fine line between nervousness and excitement, I can’t always tell them apart. Given how frenetic things are I’m not sure how I’m feeling. I think Fred could be a terrific addition and I am looking at Saonchez as a new signing given his challenging start after joining us. The Pogba and Martial situations are not ideal, particularly as they might both go after our window closes and so we won’t be able to replace them (only an issue for Pogba really) .

I’m looking forward to it, I think it may be something of a roller coaster.

EZRS, that is exactly how i feel, when people ask how I think the season will pan out I tell them that I really don't know. I would love to be optimistic and say we will be 1st, but I fear we won't finish top four.
Guess we will have to hold tight and see.

I perform on stage in theatre. I can confirm there is zero difference between nerves and excitement. It's an old trick if you're feeling nervous before going on to remember this and your brain reinterprets the nerves as excitement.

As for this season . I think we'll win the league.

I'm nervous about how I'm going to look in six months when we're struggling for top four! No, wait. I'm excited about how I'll look in six months. There. Fixed.

We all love watching football and supporting Utd so there is natural excitement. I know for a fact most of that excitement is due to football being back, not tuning in to watch Utd play for me.

We all live in hope that things turn in the way we play, some people think Jose will get it right, a few more think he won't and we are in for another 'hard watch' season and I fear this year the backers of Jose will no longer have '2nd' to pull him out of the fire. It will be a real scrap to just get top 4, in fact I think several teams are strengthening better - if we start the season with Young and Valencia as our full backs and Mata on the right - I'll predict we won't even get top 6. More concerning than this, it seems Jose has no plan to change the style, which means a lot of boring games again. Hope I'm wrong, but you are right to be nervous, maybe the more appropriate word is 'concerned', I'm also frustrated and confused about what the club/ manager are hoping to achieve with the farce of pre-season.

Beast, how was it a farce? Fringe players got a chance, some had a chance to shine (shaw)
Young lads needed game time and to prove what they can do at a higher level/ stage.
All in all it was good experience for all,
When the new players come next week, and all those leaving, it’ll all make sense.

Trouble is youngsters do get chances and shine, but then the reward is to be sidelined. Where is the incentive in that?

Oh Beast you positive optimistic man, how do you sleep st night when you’re always so excited for the following day ahead?

What you just said is if we play the same full backs and right winger that got us comfortably into 2nd last year we won’t make the top 6, never heard so much pish in all my life.

Beast. I think jose will get it right if he gets the players and turn aroumd in personnel he wants otherwise i don't think we will challege for the epl.
With our current squad i see top 4 as a good league result.
Jose will always have a fighting chance in cup comps with this squad too. Because he knows how to set up teams for those 1off games.
If we get a cb lb rb and rw like he has asked for then i think we can challenge for the title it looks unlikely at this point.
