Just to give a different perspective, after the transfer window we had as compared to Liverpool and City (added Mahrez to an already strong squad) the pressure on Mourinho to win the league is less than what it was last season.

I don't think any of us fans expects to win the league, yes we want us to challenge but I don't think any of us fans thinks we can win it this season. Mourinho has a clear fall guy in Ed Woodward/ Board who he can blame at the end of the season.

Right now I just want Mourinho to get the best out of the squad and not moan/ say negative things. Just play with whatever he has and try to bring out the best in them.

I really don't want him to unleash his 3rd season syndrome even if he hasn't been supported in the market. I want him to be positive work with what he has and entertain us.

Mumbaiboy

You are not asking for much in the grand scheme of things but i don't see jose cheering up much this season.

On the flip side to that negative point, i also don't see him having his typical 3rd season meltdown now, because as u allude to, the pressure is off somewhat and nobody sees us winning the league.

So for me (and hopefully jose) i'd be looking for a strong epl campaign - top 3 but 2nd wpuld be a very good result. But more importantly, decent cup runs facup final and a decent showing in the CL - qualifying from the grp stage.

Apologies gents,

I also think we can win it - we have a team on paper that can and we would have last season if city hadnt upped their game to levels never seen b4.

Unfortunately, a team 'on paper' needs more than that, and ultimately i don't think we have the glue to take us to the top this season.

I’m half hoping he stands on halfway line ala Chelsea hand over his mouth having a inquisition after a bad result.
