Shame Toby and a LB never came in the end but onwards and upwards, Fred, Dalot and Pereira new additions to the team and Sanchez can be seen as one of them. Have't lose any players from last season so ultimately we have strengthened.

One thing Jose MUST do is play pretty much the same XI most weeks, didn't have a clue what the team would be most weeks last season, could pretty much guess City's XI every week. A back 5 of De Gea Valencia/ Dalot Bailly Lindelof Shaw, Fred Matic Pogba, Sanchez Lukaku Martial/ Rashford. No way can we consistently be seeing Smalling Jones and Fellaini in the team anymore. Also, Shaw needs to kick on and prove he's good enough, can't do what he normally does which is look ready in pre-season and then when the seasons come, boom.

Hopefully we're in for a good season.

{Ed004's Note - Exactly the first 11 I would play. It would be more of a diamond formation with Sanchez in behind the front 2. I think it would suit everyone however we need to start pressing higher up the pitch. The only player suggested there who isnt very mobile is Matic but the rest should be able to cover for him when we press and he's intelligent enough to close of potential avenues for sides to get out from}

On Matic, he needs to be rested a lot more than he was last season, looked knackered at times.

Last season we had 11 different pairings at cb. Not the basis for a title winning side.

Whilst Matic is injured AP will play in there and it will be good to see how he plays with the rest of the first 11. Sanchez has already mentioned him and the way he plays and with Martial, Lukaku and Pogba infront of him there will be more options for him to find his passing range.
