Morning Ed001, nice review of the day as per usual btw. Quick question also, with Jose likely to leave at the end of this season, who do you think Should/ Would be ideal for the job? Thanks.

{Ed001's Note - Jardim.}

My choice aswell, perfect. Advantage over Poch is the trophies aswell, won the league up against PSG, also got to CL Semi's with a very young team, crazy. Rashford would be unbelievable under him, with the way Utd's been run recently we'll go for Howe instead.

{Ed001's Note - exactly mate, he suits United's style of play, suits United's history of building through the academy and is a winner. Seems the perfect choice. You are right Ed Woodward will no doubt go for someone like Pulis as that is the style of football every manager appointed since Fergie left has played! Allardyce is available as well.....}

We laugh but its exactly the sort of thing i'd expect Woodward to do. The guy is clueless and sooner or later has to carry the can for his mistakes.

{Ed001's Note - it would certainly make for interesting press conferences.}

Realy do hope we get him, we MUST go in for him, maybe his time at Monaco is nearing an end? Built a team, achieved success and that teams been dismantled. Personally hope we stay away from Zidane though, for now.

{Ed001's Note - I wouldn't go near Zidane. Not convinced at all by him.}

Zidane is exactly the guy Woody will go for. Big name, won trophies etc but totally the wrong style of play and manager for us. Why not give it a young buccaneer under a
Strong DoF.

Pochatino or Jardim for me. The more you see there teams play the more you want to watch.
Would certainly shake dressing room up as neither look like they accept less than 100%.
Jardim comes with record of toppling the big teams where as Pochatino has premier league experience.

Didn't they want allegri at one point? I quite like his style of play. But I have liked to watch Jardims Monaco. I wonder if he could translate that to us if he was our manager.

I still think we might be a bit off of that point though. I hope Jose will want to prove all of the doubters wrong and go through a 3rd season and really build. Absolutely out of character but I feel like he needs to go through this and come out the other end.

Might be way off :)

{Ed002's Note - Who the manager/head coach is or will be in the future is not the choice of Woodward. I have explained repeatedly about Allegri and the agreement that was in place but there is a near zip chance of Jardim following Mr Mourinho as Manchester United manager.}

Who do you think it will be/ should be Ed?

{Ed002's Note - These were my words a while after the appointment was made: "It was a bad move to appoint Mourinho and a bad move for him to accept. He doesn't see MU as a progressive club that will adapt to what he thinks they need. He doesn't like being in Manchester and there are those there who still see a blue tinge surrounding him. There was a major error in taking on Ibrahimovich - it is disruptive with the kids (although one specific issue has been overcome) and he wanted to move elsewhere. Mkhitaryan is a disaster waiting to happen. Pogba's career belongs in Spain or Italy - certainly not Manchester."

If Mr Mourinho were to take the opportunity to express his displeasure at, say, the club selling Paul Pogba next week, then eventually the club will have to find a way to replace Mr Mourinho with someone else. They will take advice, as they always do in such situations, and the timing would then be critical as much will depend on who is available. But right now MU have a manager and are not looking to replace him - their focus is on brining in a Director of Football. If they were forced to have to seek a new manager, I would suggest Laurent Blanc would be the one.}

Good insight Ed. Thank you.

Ed do you think the club will sell pogba next week? It would seem to be a strange move with no opportunity to replace him until january.

{Ed002's Note - I would not rule it out.}

Thanks ed. Yes I'd imagine appointing a manager is solely not placed upon the shoulders of ed. I'd have thought it would have to be a boardroom decision.

Selling pogba? Is it a real possibility. I like the way you put that in there. Is it a hypothetical or a possibility :)

Blanc is a good shout ed. I'm sure they will stick by Jose though.

{Ed002's Note - The decision on any manager would, as I have tried to explain over and over, involve taking advice. Regardless of whether or not Pogba is sold next week, there is going to be an attempt to move him on.}
