Further to the below post on wages and contracts, we currently have 10 players in the last year of their contract (i appreciate that some will have the extra option if a year that the club can use to keep up resale value)

They are de Gea, Antonio Valencia, Ashley Young, Ander Herrera, Juan Mata, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Luke Shaw, Anthony Martial and Matteo Darmian.

Who would you keep?

Personally de gea, martial and shaw are the only ones. wouldn't mind seeing the others go (whethers its a sale or don't renew their contract) as it would free up some space on the wage bill like city did when sagna, zabaleta and clichy at the end of peps first season.

I would be amazed if martial or shaw signed a new deal after how they feel they have been treated, I would expect both to leave in the next 12 months.

Shaw is not the standard we require, nor is Martial. In fact, nobody in that list worries me if they leave barring DeGea.

De Gea and possibly Herrera. Rest either not good enough, blew enough chances or don't want to bd here anyway. Should've been more of an effort to sell them.
