Got to hand it to Ole, magnificent turn in fortunes for Manchester United. he's assembled a very experienced backroom team to help him through the job which shows ultimate humility and respect towards the position. He and his team have to be front runners for the full time job. Would like to congratulate you guys on a successful period of late however i do hope it doesn't go on too long!

So if you haven't gathered i'm a Liverpool supporter even a fanatic, but more so i'm a football fanatic so my opinions remain totally un-bias and respectful.

My major point i'd like to make is the players. I've heard a lot of people say its a disgrace that they haven't turned up, didn't try and lacked effort in training. I disagree if i'm being honest. The only disgrace coudl be what Pogba made of himself on social media and putting his personal fued with Mourinho on the front pages of the papers, which may i add Mourinho should take a share of the blame for.

For me its all about getting the best out of your players, something Mourinho failed to do. That might be putting an arm round their should, keeping them happy, making training more enjoyable which OGS and his team seem to have done. Its about putting smiles on their faces, we all know the modern day player loves a cuddle and assurance. The main thing is having balls with it and playing players in their best positions. i don't think OGS is a tactical genius per se but he's got the formula right. Pogba has been pushed further up, Rashford is the main man up top so you have to credit him for seeing that and having the balls to drop a £75m striker like Lukaku.

Anyway thought i'd have my say. Also just on another note RIP to the Busby Babes for yesterday. Rivalries always aside when tragedy strikes.

Sam.

Fair play sam nice to see a well thought out and mature post from a rival fan!

I agree with you about the point that the players are not a disgrace. I think jose had the morale so low for a number of reasons. The first being the god awful outdated tactics. We have some brilliant attacking players and they were never given the licence to play with the freedom to express themselves. The second was his consistent negativity and throwing players under the bus. When a manager is consistently saying you as a group of players are not good enough then it’s no surprise that the confidence and morale is at an all time low.

In any other job you would feel demotivated if your manager did not utlise your strengths or criticised you in public. You would not ‘down tools’ but there is no way you would perform to the best of your abilities. Ole has come in and out an arm round the players and told them how good they are. It really is not rocket science. He’s told the players to focus on their strengths and play their game. Tbh Jose should be ashamed at himself at how poor this squad looked.

We don’t have the defensive strength to win the league. But we have enough quality to at least be in the running. See you in a few weeks sam at old Trafford. I’m sure it will be an absolute cracker of a game!
