Great read ed I wasn't aware of some of the background things in your article . It was that world cup that made me enjoy international football . That France Germany game and shumackers challenge are stick with you forever moments .
I didn't know a single Brazil player before that tournament but I knew them off by heart after it and I can remember plaguing my dad about how come England are out when we hadn't lost, not even on pens .

{Ed001's Note - I never knew anything about his autobiography, I don't even remember that challenge from the time (I must be a little younger than you) but I have seen it many times since and it is still sickening.}
