What's happening with Rabiot? Looks a good player, right age IMO. Pretty sure he's on a free which probably means he'd be asking for higher wages. Has anyone seen a great deal of him? Would he be a good signing.

Reports are that his contract with PSG runs until the 30th June and so he can’t sign for anyone else until then so unlikely to be any announcement until closer to that date.

{Ed001's Note - he could have signed months ago.}

Are we interested in him Ed001? How highly do you rate him if at all?

{Ed001's Note - his wage demands have put a lot off, including United. Hard to say how good he is now, he has not played for a long time and it could be that his desire and hunger has been blunted. As they were a huge part of what made him such a good player, he might well have peaked already.}

We could make it a trio of lazy Frenchmen with questionable attitudes.

{Ed001's Note - lazy? Rabiot was a grafter mate. He was kind of like Herrera 2.0. Played like the Spaniard but was better in every area of the game. The attitude though, well he does think rather highly of himself, but PSG have treated him appallingly and I am glad they are getting f all from him.}

I agree with Ed his work rate is what made him standout more than anything we could do with 11 players willing to cover every blade of grass on the pitch every game. Ed do you see him possibly lowering the wage demands for a decent move?

{Ed001's Note - I think he will have to unless he is intending to retire this summer!}

He could have signed a contract with any club outside france 6 months ago hoggy.
As per ed002.
He nearly signed for barca. Wage demands and his mother who acts as agent scuppered by moving his wage demands
He is being considered by madrid but not 1st choice
May be a suitably extensive option if pogba leaves united.
Liverpool are another possible option
Bayern have other preferences inn mind.
He does come with baggage. Significant baggage.
Think i got most of that right.

Thanks for the replies, but of a mixed bag then really.

{Ed001's Note - it is the money that is the key factor though. It is huge.}

001 it was more a nod to the stereotypical French workrate, which I know doesn’t apply to every Frenchman, but from my experience visiting France their attitude to work is relaxed shall we say. With Martial and Pogba in our team it seemed apt. Bad joke, sorry

I agree I too think he has been treated poorly, but I’m sure there’s a bit of give and take.

{Ed001's Note - sorry mate, I don't actually have any experience dealing with French at work, they were always on strike.....}
