Although i want us to sign 4-5 players (unlikely) and finish in top 4 with OLE at the wheel, this is something that might happen.
Theory?
We don't sign CB's and have a bad summer transfer window, We struggle in the PL and have a bad start to the season. Ole facing the sack and Allegri is appointed a a new manager.

Great review Ed as always.

I know ed2 isn't dealing with Chelsea related news and updates that much so ed1 do you know who Chelsea are looking to replace Sarri with? I think Chelsea might find it tough to get top 4 next season with a ban, Hazard leaving and a new manager. But I also don't have huge confidence in ourselves doing enough to get top 4 either, let's see.

I thought Lampard was kind of like an insurance policy with someone more established being persued and lampard being appointed only when others are out of the picture. Will be interesting to see how he fares.

Lastly Ed1 do you have any info on Mr. Mourinho and where he might end up at?

I thought PSG might have been an option too but they have seemingly given an extension to Tuchel so I personally believe he doesn't have that many great options right now. And with his history with Inter, the only other "top" club with a vacancy AC Milan can be ruled out I would think. Maybe the Man Utd job has hit his stock a bit too.
