If the rumours about the AWB deal are true then it represents an excellent deal.

45m rising to 50m might sound expensive but he has the potential to be a top RB for us for the next 10 years. 10 years ago 25m for a full back seemed expensive, yet now it would be considered a snip. Case in point if Arsenal sign Teirney for 25m everyone will be saying its the bargain of the summer.

The rumour of wages 80-90k per week don't sound as ridiculous as many of our recent signings, or even when you compare it to some of the reported wages given to our players with contract renewals. Add this to the rumour that Mata had his wages reduced by 40k per week with his contract renewal and it sounds like the club are being more sensible with wages.

Then the fact that the club has reportedly managed to keep the 25% sell on fee in Zaha's contract, which apparently was the sticking point. That could be worth as much as 20m this summer, although 15m is probably more likely. Even so that would represent a great bit of business.

If these rumours are true then its a real coup by the club and represents an excellent deal.

Something to be happy about, one key position sorted at RB as well as an exciting, talented and dynamic winger singed in Daniel James. A solid start to the window.

A CB, CM and AM now and we will be set for next season. A good pre-season where Ole can mould the team and get the fitness levels where they need to be and we can look forward to a much better season come August.

2 positions addressed. James has always played on the left when I've seen him but I hope he is equally good on the right. If so, throw Dalot in there too who can cover every position on the right hand side, we seem to be sorted in those positions for many years to come.

It's a good start. All the fears of paying way over the odds were ill founded. Cracking signing now let's hope we can get one or two more in before the hard work start's in pre season.

2 young, hungry players with pace, energy will definitely suit the pressing style of football.

AWB very happy with his signing, CB two CM and a RW, possibly striker if we manage to find someone mug enough to take Lukaku. Struggle with opinions that Dalot or James starting RW, one is a defender still learning his trade and the other was bang average in the championship. A proper RW please.
