Eriksen is the player that Utd should be going for. Levy will of course screw us over but he's a superb player who is completely proven in the PL.
Whether he would want to join a club without CL football may be a problem but there doesn't appear to be huge interest in him from Europe's big hitters.

I'm sure if Ed calls Levy, the first thing Levy will say is "£300m, please"

Why would he leave Spurs for us though in all seriousness unless it’s for the cash. Think he fancies a move to Spain, and for me he’s always gone missing when it really counts.

Why would Eiksen sign for us?

Spurs are a better side in the same league with CL football.
If he stays, he can leave for a free next summer and go to his preferred destination.

The only reason he would possibly sign for us is massive wages, and that has hardly proved the basis for a good signing over the last few seasons.

Only 1 year left on his contract, I wouldn't rule it out.

Couldn't agree more Danny.

He would be a great signing.

{Ed001's Note - why would he be a great signing? He never turns up when it matters.}

Good post danny. I'd agree with that.

I have no idea why some of you boys are Utd fans you'd think we were a pub team the way you go on. I get by our own very high standards we've been poor recently and many are frustrated with how the Club is run but come on guys we're still Man Utd.

Spurs are Spurs they've not won a trophy for over 10 years and that was the league cup. They not won the Fa Cup since 1991 and the league title since 1961. There last European trophy was the UEFA Cup in 1984!

Since Ericsson signed for Spurs in 2013 (after SAF retired) we've won the league cup, the fa cup (and made another final) and the Europa league.

Spurs have done well recently because they have a great manager. They are still reluctant to spend big in the transfer market or offer high wages to attract the best players. Once Potch leaves I expect them to struggle again. Spurs will not win the league this season in my opinion, in fact we are closer to bridging the gap with them than they are to City or even Liverpool.

Utd are an infinitely bigger Club than Spurs, he'll be get infinitely more exposure playing for Utd, more money obviously and we're rubbish at the moment.

He wants an new challenge, maybe he could be part of a squad that wins our first title since SAF's retirement or maybe he just wants to win a trophy the stat's don't lie he's more likely to win something at Utd than Spurs. (Tongue in cheek perhaps but is it not true? ) .

Things can change very quickly in football it only takes a couple of players to make a big difference. Keep the faith boys!

He would add some goals to the midfield and could also do a job in the number 10 role ed, he would be an upgrade on what we've watched in the last few years.

{Ed001's Note - that's not a great signing though. A great signing is someone who moves the team up a level. He is just a slight upgrade on Lingard.}

We should have the ambition to go for Kane ed, if I had my choice of Spurs players.
