2 days to go and this team currently looks like mid table will be an achievement. 2 out of 5 positions strengthened leaving us missing a DCM, AM, CF. Rw has not been addressed but i think we can get by with the players we have. How has Woodward been allowed to go into another season without signing a midfielder, we were horrendous there last year and have lost two players since then. Really looking forward to a season without a proven goal scorer up top too. yet again another window where we have at a push treaded water whilst all around have strengthened. Given Woodward's amateur negotiating deficiencies getting another transfer over the line now looks impossible. The clown has wasted this week courting another shiny shiny signing in Dybala. Some one remind him shirt sales do not reward you with league table points.

{Ed047's Note - hope you’re wearing body armour and a ballistic helmet!

Jaime, take a couple of your tablets and keep calm, we will be contending for the title this year, everything is ok mate.

We are some way off competing for the title Ole. A clear and decent playing style and top four would please me but I can't see it the way things are at the moment.

Ole ole

Title?

If we can get a midfield player in, keep Pogba and buy a Lukaku replacement we have a chance of top four. If we replace Pogba with a lesser player, don’t add another in midfield, don’t replace Lukaku then it will be a scramble for top six.

We will be 3rd or 4th. Chelsea or Arsenal. are not going to make the top4.

We threw away top 4 last season I expect us to be better this season .
People need to chill out.

Ole, are you having a laugh? As it is at present, top 6 is our level. Midfield looks very weak. If Pogba goes and not replaced, then top6 is not easily achievable. We have very little creativity from midfield, and that's why our goals scored tally has been so poor last year. Nothing has changed apart from losing two midfielders and not replacing them.
City, Liverpool, Spurs are much better, and arguably arsenal, Chelsea are too.
Leicester and Everton will be stronger too.
There will be no challenging for the league I'm afraid.

Jred how did we throw it away, ole got an easy run when he came on board, then we went backwards.

We were even lucky to be in the mix for top 4. Just were not good enough.

I hope with the improvements we've made in defence that we have a chance of competing for top 4 this year.

Being realistic as I'm not convinced OGS is the right man.

I also expect us to be better 3 good signings. We have lots of time to shift rojo and darmian if we get an offer from a blind chairman in Europe.
3 good signings should improve us.
Rash martial and sanchez have huge improvement in them from last year.

Midfield is a huge concern pogba aside our other ptions are largely unproven inexperienced and matic is on the decline.

Shaw and lindelof can also imorove.

I still think we will sign at least 1 more hoofully 2.

Leicester and Everton? We where pretty poor well below par last season and still finished 14 points above.
Cows in fields, everyone else amazing .
The amount of stick fellaini got off the same people who are now up in arms that he hasn't been replaced .
Which he has by mctom .

Agreed ken. I think holding onto pogba is a big mistake too.

Hopefully we can correct that in the coming day or two and get a replacement in. He will be a problem.

Holy sh*t! Sometimes i wonder why i don't post more often, but Jaime has just reminded me. I'm pretty sure you are either a wind up merchant or you have serious issues, either way you are a huge grey cloud around these parts.

Give it a rest fella!

We threw it away because most these highly paid professionals when asked to run for 90 minutes could only manage it for 30 minutes at best. Which cost us games.

I suspect the ssme people that called for the manager or the last manager to be sacked will do same again soon enough. Just the way some purple are. Never happy.

So many people hating the team we have right now.

I’ll put my neck on the line now and say Mctominay will be good for us this year he’s ready to step up.

We have martial, Rashford, James, Chong, mata, pogba, Lingard, Sanchez (big if) who are all creative players. Once they play for a manager with the right mindset to let them play we will see a big difference.

As for everyone strengthening who have Chelsea signed? Arsenal signed Pepe but the defence has more holes in it than a siv and spurs have signed a defensive midfielder.

I remember when I had my first beer Jamie so it happens to all of us, right now I think you should sleep it off and deal with the hangover tomorrow.
