One VAR decision screwed PSG. Funny thing about that VAR call was that the same decision screwed Manchester United as well. That night in Paris, if that "non-penalty" hadnt been overturned and given to us, PSG would have gone through and lived to play another game in UCL last season. And if VAR hadnt given us that penalty, we wouldn't have been drowned in sentiment, we wouldn't have had that '99 remembrance and Ole wouldn't have been made permanent.

Strange how one controversial decision had a negative impact on two huge clubs.

Shan had Moyes not been given the job, and instead someone more suitable, we may never have had this slump.

I think Ole should step down as a coach, his dignity will remain intact that way.

I think a really bad loss will put the coffin in his nail, and I hope we don't get beat by Liverpool by 5 goals or more which doesn't seem unlikely.

I agree Rohan but I think Moyes was responsible for his own downfall besides him not getting backed. He dithered on transfers, Fabregas comes to mind. Then he scrapped the entire backroom staff which was naive.

Dont think us getting insulted even further should be the criteria for this buffoon to move on. Now is the time.

Hi,
I think we reap what we sew. We have inexperienced players being led by an inexperienced manager and coaching team. You either panic and change it when you hit problems or you stick to the plan and keep going.

I would only remove the manager if things get worse and he ‘loses’ the dressing room.

For me, to manage a big club you need to be experienced and a winner. Allegri is that. Pochettino is going to be that. Solskjaer might be that. So will the Board stick or twist.

Davis, by getting worse, you mean we getting relegated or you have something else in mind? I mean we are 2 points of the bottom 3 as things stand. What worse do you want before making the change. You can see the titanic sinking but you want to wait before making an SOS call?
Which player do you see playing for the manager as of now. Name me one player who is playing with passion or hunger or commitment towards the batch. Ole has lost the dressing room already. Its just that the murmurs haven't escaped the walls as of now.

I think relegation could be a good thing.

1. Most of these players jump ship. Not a bad thing.

2. The Glazers sell, and not at the price they've been holding out for. Not a bad thing.

3. No Glazers means no Woodward. A very good thing.

4. We also shed a lot of the toxics and glory hunters from the fan base. Not a bad thing.

No matter what, Ole will always be remembered for "And Solskjaer has won it".

I know that Ole is at fault and the players too, but the biggest culprit are behind the scenes. There is no strategy to get the club back in shape. Thinking that a few signings will help us get back on track will be completely wrong.

Mort,

I’m assuming that message is tongue in cheek? Relegation would be far from a good thing.

Exactly Becks. People think changing the manager and a couple of shiny new signings will make it alright again. When the problems go far beyond whoever is manager.

{Ed002's Note - Yes, the club needs a new set of non-toxic fans - it was them that started this whole viscious circle - as has been explained to you all since the start. The supporters now have the rewards for their actions. Otherwise Allegri would still eb in charge.}

Being frustrated is one thing and is acceptable. To refer to OGS, a club legend and a man who loves this club with every sinew, as a buffoon shows you up to be a disrespectful p*at and says more about you than it does OGS. He may not be good enough but if that's how you feel you should move on!

Becks, Ole is now destroying his own legacy. If he gets the sack, he would be remembered as the manager who drove us to the ground and then got sacked. Remember not many fans (younger ones) were there in 1999. Several joined the band wagon after that so for them today is tomorrows history. They will remember Ole for this and not for that '99 goal. We can tell them all we want that Ole is a legend and he scored many goals for us but for them (my kid included), Ole is failing us big time.

Another thing, we can keep calling Glazers and Woodward all sorts of names, but the fact is that they do not have a say in how the team plays on the ground. They are not creating game plans for us on how to score goals or how to defend. That is all Ole and his team. I agree that we don't have a structure in place and Ed Woodward and Glazers are to be blamed, but that does not take anything away from the fact that we have won away in the last 6 months, we haven't scored more than 1 goal this season after Chelsea. Ed Woodward may have penny pinched or whatever but how do you say that Rashford can't score a goal or Lingard (fan favorite) can't do anything. I am sure Ole takes the entire blame for that.

Allegri would not have been a success and the toxics would've got rid of him as well.

I appreciate that a company (Utd plc) has to pay regard to its paying clients (us supporters) but a properly run company is one that has a proper structure in place with management with the skill set to run the company and plan properly for the future and have the ability to adapt to changing circumstances. It's not the fault of the supporters that Utd are being run badly. Supporters are perfectly entitled to voice their opinions but they do not make company policy. Supporters ultimately have the real direct power to appoint managers. If Utd had a long term plan but things shorter term were not going so well then they should have explained to the fans the outline of what they wanted to achieve and that would probably have bought them more time.

Gds it was more of a fishing trip but some people agree. Relegation would be bad but we've survived it before and we've survived worse. All we can really hope for is new owners.

Shan,
The points off relegation line is just good copy. United are only 5 points off top 4. The issue is the team and that growing feeling that those in charge are in a mess they can’t get out of.

The issue is simple. Was this plan to appoint Solskjaer the right one? At the moment, the answer is no. So it’s all about what next. I sensed from DDG that the reason things are worse now, is no one believes it’s going to get better but no one knows if United will have the courage to admit the mistake.

Relegation would have the Leeds effect. We would struggle to come back. The world change since the 80s.

The man who haired OLE is stupid and naive. If you give a Lambo to a guy who only knows how to ride a bike the Lambo will be deetroyed in no time.

OLE does not have the tools nor the knowledge to turn things around. A legend for the club as a player but as a manager, 💩.

He's a good coach in Italy. With the richest team. With the best squad. When all their rivals were too busy shooting themselves in the feet. He has no experience outside of Italy. His style of football is dull. The toxics would soon be complaining. And his English is poor to nonexistent which would hamper him straight away.

Yes Mort. Apart from taking over a winning Juve team, he hasn't really been tested.
Rebuilding is an entirely different task. that too with numerous young players.
